A safety binding device for retaining a boot on a gliding board including: a module for detecting the forces to which the boot is subjected, the detection module generating an analog signal proportional to the forces; a decision module integrating a mechanism to convert the analog signal into digital information, and a mechanism to process the digital information according to a release-controlling algorithm depending upon the time and parameters determined by the user's characteristics and/or snow conditions and/or type of sports practice, the processing mechanism generating a control signal; and further including a mechanical actuation module controlled by the control signal and allowing the boot to be released.

Safety binding

A safety binding device for binding a boot on an alpine ski including a releasable retaining mechanism of the mechanical, hydraulic, viscoelastic type, which actuate a release as a function of the forces to which the boot is subjected and as a function of the duration &#x394;t of the application of such forces. The release action occurs as soon as the magnitude of the force is greater than an actual release threshold, Sr, which is dependent upon the duration &#x394;t of the application of force, such that if duration is greater than one second, the actual release threshold is between 50% and 75% of the theoretical release threshold, St, whereby: &#x394;t&#x3e;1 s; 0.75&#xd7;St&#x2267;Sr(&#x394;t)&#x2267;0.5&#xd7;St, with the theoretical release threshold St being determined as a function of the skier's parameters in conformance with ISO standards. In a particular embodiment, the release principle, which defines the actual release threshold as a function of the duration, Sr (&#x394;t), is of the exponential decrease type: Sr(&#x394;t)=a+exp[(b&#x2212;&#x394;t)/c]; whereby a, b, and c are parameters.

A helmet for protecting the head having a rigid shell that includes a body, made of an expanded polystyrene type of material, for example, molded over an outer skin, the shell further including a rigid arch device, the arch device includes a headband applied to the shell, each of the ends of the headband being equipped with an ear-covering part. The ear-covering parts can include a foam cushion covered by fabric. The arch device can have two wings which cover the ear-covering parts and which extend the headband and which can also be provided with a chin guard joining the two wings together. The arch device can be either glued or releasably attached to the shell.

Modular helmet

Goggles having a frame with two lateral edges, a shield borne by the frame, and a tie for retaining the frame on the user's head which is attached to each of the lateral edges of the frame. The tie for retaining the frame has a flexible cord located at each of the ends of the tie, each of the cords being connected to the frame by two upper and lower pull points separated along a lateral edge according to an upper cord strand and a lower cord point, and a return element sliding along the cord to allow the respective lengths of the upper and lower cord strands to be modified.

Sports goggles

A retaining element for retaining the front of a boot sole on a ski. The element includes a jaw carried by a body which itself is mounted on a mounting base. The mounting base has a front zone that supports the body, and a rear zone positioned lower than the front zone. The retaining element can accept ski boots having a thicker sole.

Front retaining element for an alpine ski boot

The invention relates to a boot support device on a gliding board such as a ski. A support plate translationally movable along a transverse direction of the ski is overlaid by a support element of the boot that is rotationally movable about a longitudinal axis with respect to the support plate. A reverse construction is possible, the goal being to combine a translational displacement and a rotational displacement.

Support assembly for a ski binding

A binding element adapted to retain the end of a boot. It includes a body that bears on a jaw. The jaw is vertically movable, and its movement is transmitted to the return spring of the jaw, which constitutes a compensation for a backward fall. The sole of the boot is pinched between a support plate and sole-tightener of the jaw. The support plate is movably mounted about a horizontal and longitudinal axis so that a twisting of the boot causes an elevation of the jaw and thus, activates the compensation mechanism.

Ski binding assembly

Each retention element has a movable retention jaw, a return spring of the jaw, a transmission linkage of movement between the retention jaw and the spring, an adjustment mechanism acting on the transmission linkage to modify in a differential manner the release threshold of the jaw depending upon whether it displaces on one side or the other with respect to its aligned position and a movable manipulation button accessible from the exterior to control the adjustment mechanism.

Apparatus for retaining boots on a gliding board

A retention element of a boot on a gliding board, particularly an alpine ski including a body, a base, a jaw for retaining the boot, likewise including a compensation mechanism to lower the return force that the spring exerts on the jaw. The support plate is movable to rock laterally around a longitudinal rocking axis, the support plate being supported on each side of the rocking axis on movable linkage assembly with the compensation mechanism, the rocking axis of the plate being movable along a vertical direction over a limited amplitude, and an elastic return device elastically returns the plate to the raised position.

Alpine ski binding apparatus

The invention relates to an assembly of two retention elements of two boots of a skier on two skis. Each retention element has a retention jaw, a return spring of the jaw, a linkage for transmission of movement between the retention jaw and the spring, an adjustment mechanism acting on the transmission linkage to modify in a differential manner the release threshold of the jaw depending upon which it displaces from one side or the other with respect to its aligned position, a manipulation element adapted to be activated from the other retention element and to control the adjustment mechanism.

The invention is related to a binding element for alpine skis including a base connected to the ski, a body mounted on the base, a boot retention jaw borne by the body, an energy spring housed in the body to elastically oppose the opening movements of the jaw in response to biases of the boot, and a support plate on which the sole of the boot rests. The support plate is configured for being mobile in a rocking motion, and a linking arrangement, sensitive to the rocking motions of the support plate, connect the support plate to one of the mobile members of the binding element to reduce the resistance force that the boot must overcome in order to be released by the jaw in response to a rocking bias exerted on the support plate.

The invention is related to a retention element for a boot on a gliding board, especially an alpine ski, including a retention jaw, a body bearing the jaw, a jaw return mechanism including a return spring acting on a latching member so as to provide an elastic resistance force against the spacing of the jaw from its retention position, a mobile sensor adapted to at least locally support the sole of the boot, a connection between the sensor and the return mechanism. The connection is provided to increase the elastic resistance force that the return mechanism exerts on the jaw in response to an increase in the support force perceived by the sensor.
