The present invention relates to an alpine ski including a tip zone located at the front of the ski, a waist zone, and a tail zone located at the rear of the ski, a median longitudinal plane extending from the front end to the rear end of the ski, an underside formed by a gliding sole bordered by edges, a zone for mounting a boot. The alpine ski further defined by a radius of curvature measured along the sidecut of the alpine ski.

Alpine ski with improved sidecut

A slide board for use on snow has a point of maximum width located beyond the contact line. The board includes a core extending over the greater part of the board, and a plurality of mechanical reinforcement layers lying directly or indirectly on the core, extending inside the board upturn beyond the contact line. The reinforcement layers are inclusive of that part of the board comprising the longitudinal axis. At least one of the reinforcement layers has an extreme longitudinal point offset transversely relative to the longitudinal axis of the board and, in a zone defined between the contact line and the point of maximum width, the reinforcement layer has an overall cross-section which decreases between the contact line and the point of maximum width. The reinforcement layers have extreme longitudinal points offset longitudinally relative to each other.

Alpine ski

Alpine ski has a boot middle point mark indicating a position of a middle of a boot and is equipped with a mounting platform comprising front, central and rear zones. The platform rests on the ski via three feet situated respectively in front, central and rear zones of the platform. The height measured between the lower face of each foot and the upper face of the platform is a minimum for the central foot. The platform is anchored by screws to inhibit sliding in at least the front and central zones. An anchoring point situated in the central zone is positioned in front of the boot middle point and is separated longitudinally by a distance of between 150 and 300 millimeters. Further included is a block of elastic material inserted between a front end of the platform and a stop in front of the platform. The block is compressible during movement of the platform relative to the upper face of the ski, due to bending of the ski.
