A multilayer contactless smartcardincluding an electronic chip embedded in the card, the chip being connected to an antennaprinted on a carrier layer, and two card bodies, one on each side of the carrier, each including at least one plastic layerand. The antenna carrier is opaque and includes a first cut-out forming a voidfilled with a transparent plastic; and the plastic layers of the two card bodies each include a second cut-out forming two identical voidsandthe outlines of which superimpose, in order to make a transparent zone appear in the thickness of the card, forming a transparent logo in the shape of the cut-out. A process for manufacturing such a card is also disclosed.

Process for manufacturing a contactless smartcard having a transparent logo

A method for making a hybrid contact/non-contact or non-contact smart card which includes a support () on which is produced an antenna, two card bodies () on either side of the support, each of the card bodies including at least one thermoplastic layer, and one chip () or module connected to the antenna. The method includes the following steps: depositing a layer of a material having a major amount of resin on a predetermined zone () of the antenna support; making the antenna which includes screen-printing turns () and two connection pads () of conductive polymer ink on the zone previously produced on the support, and subjecting the support to a heat treatment to cure the ink.

Method for making a smart card antenna on a thermoplastic support and resulting smartcard

Method of manufacturing a chip card having an antenna support, two card bodies and an electronic module or a chip linked to the antenna. This method has a first lamination step which includes fusing two thermoplastic sheets (or) on each side of antenna support (or) at a temperature sufficient for the thermoplastic sheet material to soften and to flow wholly so as to eliminate any differences in thickness from the support, and a second lamination step carried out after a period of time necessary for the thermoplastic sheets (or) to be solidified, the second step including fusing by hot pressing two plastic layers (or) making up the card bodies onto the plasticised and even faces of uniformly thick antenna support (or) plasticised by the thermoplastic sheets.
