A ventilation assembly, particularly for a vehicle, has a cowl with a conduit for air flow. The conduit has a first portion and a second portion having a smaller diameter and a joining portion joining the first and second portions. A fan is disposed in the conduit. The fan has an impeller with a peripheral ring having a lip. An annular passage is formed between the ring and the conduit. The lip has a substantially frusto-conical shape; and the joining portion of the conduit has a substantially frusto-conical shape, with an inclination angle (&#x3b1;) at least approximately corresponding to that of the lip of the impeller. The inclination angle (&#x3b1;) is between 115&#xb0; and 145&#xb0;.

Ventilation assembly

A fan module () includes a support structure (), a motor (), and an impeller (). The support structure () includes an outer frame (), an inner seat (), and spokes () connecting the outer frame () to the inner seat (). The motor () includes a stator () fixed to the inner seat (), a rotor () rotatably mounted to the stator (), a heat sink () at one end of the stator (), and a control circuit () in thermal contact with the heat sink (). The impeller () includes a hub () having a front wall (), a side wall () spaced from the front wall (), and inner vanes () extending from the side wall () and connected to the front wall (). Top ends of two adjacent inner vanes () are spaced from each other with an intake opening () defined therebetween.

Fan module for a heat exchanger

A fan, for a ventilation assembly has blades extending from a cup-shaped central hub. The hub has an annular side wall and a bottom wall defining a receptacle for an electric motor. The hub has internal ribs for ventilation of the motor. Each rib has a longitudinal portion which extends along the side wall, a radial portion which extends along the bottom wall and an intermediate portion having an arcuate, transversely protruding profile. The longitudinal portion has a profile whose spacing from the side wall of the hub increases, from a minimum value remote from the bottom wall to a maximum value adjacent the bottom wall.
