It is described a motorcycle tyre () intended to be fitted to a wheel of a motorcycle of the 'supersport' segment, comprising an equatorial plane and a tread band extending in axial direction with a given axial development, wherein the tread band comprises a first annular portion made of a first elastomeric material, having a first dynamic shear storage modulus measured at 70° C., and at least one second annular portion made of a second elastomeric material, having a second dynamic shear storage modulus measured at 70° C., different form said first dynamic shear storage modulus measured at 70° C.

The present invention refers to a tyre for bicycle wheels comprising a tread band containing an anti-puncture system capable of having high resistance to the penetration of foreign bodies, simultaneously ensuring optimal handling performances. In particular the present invention regards a tyre for bicycle wheels comprising: a carcass structure; and&#x2014;a tread band arranged in radially outer position with respect to the carcass structure; wherein said tread band is made by means of vulcanisation of a cross-linkable elastomeric composition comprising a reinforcement system constituted by modified silicate fibres of nanometric size and fibrillated polymer fibres of micrometric size.

The present invention relates to a tyre for bicycle wheels comprising a tread band containing an anti-puncture system capable of offering high resistance to the penetration of foreign bodies. In particular, the present invention relates to a tyre () for bicycle wheels comprising: &#x2014;a carcass structure (); and &#x2014;a tread band () arranged in a radially outer position with respect to said carcass structure (); characterised in that said tread band () is made by vulcanisation of a vulcanisable elastomeric compound comprising fibrillated polymeric fibres of micrometric dimensions, wherein at least one protective layer () is interposed between said carcass structure () and said tread band (), said protective layer () comprising (i) a plurality of reinforcing cords of textile material oriented with respect to the equatorial plane of the tyre with an angle greater than 30&#xb0;, (ii) a square fabric with textile fibres of the weft or warp oriented with respect to the equatorial plane of the tyre with an angle greater than 20&#xb0;, or (iii) a non-woven fabric with randomly oriented textile fibres.

Motorcycles tyre, comprising: a radial carcass structure (); a belt structure () applied in radially outer position with respect to the radial carcass structure (); a tread band () applied in radially outer position with respect to the belt structure (). The tyre () has a curvature ratio (f/C) greater than or equal to about 0.25. A motorcycle tyre has a tread band including a central portion and two shoulder portions arranged at axially opposite sides of the central portion. The central portion includes a first plurality of grooves extended according to a substantially longitudinal direction and alternatively arranged at opposite sides of the equatorial plane of the tyre. Each groove of the first plurality of grooves has a substantially curvilinear course such as to form a concavity. The central portion further includes a sub-portion substantially free of grooves placed astride the equatorial plane of the tyre. Each of the shoulder portions includes a second plurality of grooves arranged obliquely relative to the equatorial plane of the tyre.

A plant for building tyres of at least two different models for vehicle wheels, includes at least a tyre building line, which in turn, includes: a plurality of work stations arranged according to a sequential series, each work station being adapted for building at least one structural component of each tyre and assembling at least one elementary component; at least one handling device for the tyres being processed on the respective forming supports associated to each work station; and at least one transfer device adapted for transferring the tyre being processed on its forming support from any first work station of the sequential series to any other second work station not adjacent thereto of the sequential series, so that the tyre being processed on its forming support only passes in the first and second work stations.

A tyre for bicycle wheels, having a carcass structure, a belt layer arranged in a radially outer position with respect to the carcass structure and a tread band arranged in a radially outer position with respect to the belt layer. The carcass structure has a carcass ply engaged with a pair of annular anchoring structures and including a plurality of reinforcing cords. The cords are inclined, with respect to an equatorial plane of the tyre, at a first angle between about 65&#xb0; and about 90&#xb0;. The belt layer has a reinforcing cord wound onto the carcass structure according to a winding direction oriented, with respect to the equatorial plane, at a second angle between about 0&#xb0; and about 30&#xb0;.

A motorcycle tyre intended to be fitted to the rear wheel of a motorcycle. The motorcycle tyre has a tread pattern with a high void-to-rubber ratio that provides a suitable draining. The tread pattern has pairs of primary grooves to carry out the draining function of the tyre, and arranged substantially according to the stress lines of the tyres to reduce the probability of triggering uneven wear. Also included are secondary grooves having a reduced dimension, in terms of both extension and width, arranged between the primary grooves to increase the grip of the tyre to the ground. Orientation of the secondary grooves increases stabilizing features against drift forces acting on the tyre, particularly in low or very low friction conditions.

Tyre for motorcycle wheels

Motorcycles tyre including a carcass structure, a zero-degree belt structure arranged in a radially outer position with respect to the carcass structure and a tread band arranged in a radially outer position with respect to the belt structure. The belt structure includes at least one hybrid reinforcing cord that has an elongation greater than 4% when subjected to a load equal to about 50 N and a tangent modulus with a monotonic progression as the elongation increases for elongations comprised between 4% and at least 9%.

A tyre that can be fitted to the front of a motorcycle. The tyre has a high void-to-rubber ratio and includes grooves located asymmetrically across the equatorial plane of the tyre, arranged substantially orthogonally to the equatorial plane of the tyre at the equatorial plane itself. According to one aspect, the grooves are close to one another in the circumferential direction of the tyre to increase their number in a footprint area of the tyre.

Pneumatic tire

A carcass ply is applied around an outer surface of a building drum according to an application diameter larger than the fitting diameter of a tyre. Coaxially engaged around each of the end flaps is an annular anchoring structure defining the fitting diameter. A pair of sidewalls is manufactured by laying of a continuous elongated element in the form of approached coils on the carcass sleeve. An outer sleeve, including at least one belt structure possibly associated with a tread band, is coaxially centered around the carcass sleeve. Through axial approaching of two halves forming the building drum, the carcass sleeve is shaped into a toroidal configuration to determine application of same against a radially internal surface of the outer sleeve.

Process and apparatus for building tyres

A plant for building tyres, includes: a shaping work station configured for receiving a carcass sleeve; at least one radially expandable/contractible toroidal forming drum engageable in the shaping work station; at least one work station configured for building at least one component of a crown structure on a radially external surface of a tyre being processed, defined starting from the carcass sleeve that is shaped and coupled to the forming drum; transfer devices configured for moving said forming drum along a closed-loop completion path and arranging it in proximity to the work station in order to obtain a green tyre, the closed-loop completion path being extended from an initial work station to a final work station coinciding with the shaping work station; and a pick-up device configured for picking up said green tyre decoupled from the respective forming drum.
