A tape out template system is provided. The tape out template system comprises a template database, a query database, and a processor. The template database stores a plurality of templates for mask tooling for different manufacturing technologies. Each of the templates comprises a set of mask tooling settings for different manufacturing processes of one of the manufacturing technologies. The query database stores a hierarchy of queries addressing differences among mask tooling information of the manufacturing processes. The processor receives technology information specifying the manufacturing technology of the tape out request, selects one of the templates according to the received technology information, selects and presents at least one of the queries according to the selected template, and determines values of the mask tooling settings according to the answers to the presented queries.

Tape out template system and method

Computer-implemented tape-out form generation methods and systems. A database, comprising tape-out types, and corresponding questions and answers, is provided. The questions and the answers are generated according to historical or/and new-technological manufacturing data. The tape-out types are displayed and selected. Corresponding questions and answers of the selected tape-out type are displayed. The answers are selected and tape-out forms are generated accordingly.

Tape-out form generation methods and systems

A system for multi-project wafer service is provided. The system contains integrator and designer interfaces, an account managing device, a mask tooling information processor, a mask database checking device, and a mask tooling information convertor. The integrator and the designer interfaces provide first and second users with access to the multi-project wafer service. The account managing device manages identification information and corresponding access authority. The mask tooling information processor provides a predefined form to the designer interface, receives the form containing the mask tooling information, and presents the completed form to the integrator interface. A method for translating mask tooling information comprises the steps of: receiving a plurality of input mask tooling forms for fabricating a wafer, at least two of the plurality of input masking tool forms having respectively different sequences of layers; forming a template having a sequence of layers formed by the union of the different sequences of layers; and translating information from each of the input mask tooling forms to fit the template.
