The invention relates to a gripper apparatus for a cannulation robot and for gripping a cannula having a cannula holder. The gripper apparatus comprises two gripper elements and a moving device. The two gripper elements can be moved relative to each other and work in concert to grip the cannula holder. The moving device is designed to move the two gripper elements relative to each other and at least one of the gripper elements relative to the cannula holder. The gripper apparatus can thereby be brought into a gripping state, in which at least one of the gripper elements is engaged with the cannula holder, by means of the moving device.

The invention relates to a cannulation robot for the automated affixing of a cannula to a patient. The cannulation robot comprises a fixing apparatus for affixing the cannula to the patient by means of an adhesive carrier. The cannulation robot comprises a positioning device designed to position a cannula holder of the cannula to an area of the patient's skin. The cannulation robot comprises an actuator device for a guide means, wherein the guide means is designed to guide the adhesive carrier to said skin area. The actuator device is designed to activate the guide means and thereby move the adhesive carrier by means of the guide means toward the skin area, wherein the adhesive carrier contacts the skin area as a result of the movement and adheres to same as well as is disposed such that it is connected to the cannula at least after being adhered.

A blood treatment unit has a blood treatment device which is part of an extracorporeal blood circulatory system. The unit has a control unit and a display and input unit having a touch screen. In order to simplify the operation of the blood treatment unit using the touch screen, the control unit and the display and input unit are suitable for representing various mode means on the touch screen which correspond to the various time modes of the blood treatment. The control unit automatically instigates the beginning of the following time mode at the end of at least one time mode, this being indicated by a change in the representation of the selected mode means on the touch screen. A device and method for detecting complications during an extracorporeal blood treatment are provided. During the dialysis treatment, the dialysance or clearance may be continuously determined at successive points in time based on a measured change in a physical or chemical characteristic quantity of the dialysis liquid, for example, the ion concentration of the dialysis liquid. In the event a significant change in the dialysance or clearance is established, the determination of the recirculation may be effected based on a measured change in a physical or chemical characteristic quantity of the blood. When both a significant change in the determined dialysance as well as in the recirculation occurs, a complication may be assumed with regard to a bad vessel access. Alternatively, a complication may be assumed with regard to the dialyzer. The present invention may allow the continuous monitoring during the dialysis treatment to ensue solely on the basis of the change in the measured dialysate-side characteristic quantities.
