An extraction cleaning machine includes a housing with a bottom portion that is adapted to rest on a surface to be cleaned, a fluid delivery system including a fluid distributor, a fluid extraction system including a suction nozzle, at least one carriage assembly mounting an agitation assembly to the housing for movement with respect thereto and with respect to the surface to be cleaned, and an ultraviolet light mounted on at least one of the housing and the carriage assembly to emit ultraviolet light onto the surface to be cleaned.

A vacuum cleaner includes an upright body mounted to a base that moves over a surface to be cleaned. A rotational coupling can be provided between the upright body and the base for coupling the upright body to the base for movement about at least one rotational axis. The rotational coupling can include at least a swivel joint. A cord rewinder can be provided above the swivel joint for storing and dispensing a power cord.

An unattended extraction cleaning machine includes a housing with a bottom portion that is adapted to rest on a surface to be cleaned, a fluid delivery system including a fluid distributor, a fluid extraction system including a suction nozzle, at least one carriage assembly mounting the suction nozzle to the housing for movement with respect thereto and with respect to the surface to be cleaned, and an ultraviolet light mounted on at least one of the housing and the carriage assembly to emit ultraviolet light onto the surface to be cleaned.

A vacuum cleaner has a housing and a cover moveably mounted to the housing between a closed position and an open position. A filter is carried by the cover and includes an upstream surface and a downstream surface through which working air passes. When a user of the vacuum cleaner opens the cover, the upstream surface of the filter can be seen by the user.

A vacuum cleaner includes a cyclone separator, a collection chamber below the cyclone separator, a pre-motor filter downstream from the cyclone separator, and an openable cover above the pre-motor filter. The cover provides access to an upstream surface of the pre-motor filter when open, and forms an outer surface of the vacuum cleaner that is angled forwardly at an incline.

A bare floor cleaner has a base and a handle pivotally connected to the base. A fluid delivery system of the bare floor cleaner includes a source of cleaning fluid and a fluid distributor in fluid communication with the source of cleaning fluid for dispensing cleaning fluid onto a surface to be cleaned. A plurality of support glides are provided on the base to reduce the surface area contact between the base and the surface to be cleaned.

Bare floor cleaner

A vacuum cleaner with a cyclone module assembly comprises a cyclone separation chamber for separating dust and debris from air and a collection chamber for collecting dust and debris that is separated from the air in the cyclone separation chamber. The cyclone module assembly further includes at least one feature for directing contaminants downwardly, such as a circumferential fin that extends from the inside wall of the collection chamber.

A vacuum cleaner has an agitator assembly that is coupled to a motor via a belt, and a belt shifting assembly which has a belt shifter which moves the belt between engagement with a drive pulley or an idler pulley on the agitator assembly. A biasing member biases the belt shifter between engagement with the drive pulley and the idler pulley.

A bare floor cleaner has a base and a handle pivotally connected to the base. The handle is movable between a dry mode position and a wet mode position. A fluid delivery system of the bare floor cleaner includes a source of cleaning fluid and a fluid distributor in fluid communication with the source of cleaning fluid for dispensing cleaning fluid onto a surface to be cleaned. A recovery system of the bare floor cleaner includes a disabling mechanism for disabling the recovery system when the fluid distributor is dispensing cleaning fluid onto the surface to be cleaned.

A vacuum cleaner has a separation/collection module with a housing and a cover pivotally mounted to the housing by a hinge. A filter assembly is carried by the cover and includes a filter media. When a user of the vacuum cleaner opens the cover, the filter media can be seen by the user.

A vacuum cleaner has an agitator assembly, a belt drive system coupling the agitator assembly to a motor via a belt, and a belt shifting assembly which selectively shifts the belt between a drive pulley and an idler pulley on the agitator assembly. Trace rotational force transmitted to the agitator assembly when the belt is on the idler pulley is prevented from causing the agitator assembly to rotate by an anti-rotation member of the belt shifting assembly.

A vacuum cleaner has a cyclone separator for separating dirt and other contaminants from a dirt-containing working airstream and a collection chamber collecting the separated dirt. The vacuum cleaner can further include fines catcher defining a second collection chamber, where the bottom end of the fines catcher is spaced from the bottom wall of the first collection chamber.
