In one embodiment, a method includes receiving airflow data from an airflow sensor installed inside of a hardware device and determining an airflow value from the airflow data. The method also includes determining that the airflow value exceeds a predetermined threshold. The method further includes determining a potential tampering event associated with the hardware device.

A multi-column graphite-over-foam (GOF) assembly includes a plurality of foam columns wherein each foam column of the plurality of foam columns are individually wrapped in a graphite sheet. A graphite layer surrounds the plurality of foam columns and an electrically conductive outer layer surrounding the graphite layer. The graphite layer is configured to thermally couple the electrically conductive outer layer to the plurality of foam columns, and the electrically conductive outer layer is configured to absorb electromagnetic interference (EMI).

An apparatus for connecting a router blade to a router chassis is provided. The apparatus includes an engagement portion; a first side portion coupled with the engagement portion; and a second side portion coupled with the engagement portion. Method and apparatus for reducing electromagnetic radiated emissions from a chassis

A chassis panel for a computerized device includes ventilation elements that visually obscure electronic components disposed within an associated chassis and that minimize airflow resistance. Each ventilation element includes a first angled ventilation portion having openings that provides limited visual access to the electronic components disposed within the chassis. Each ventilation element also includes a second angled ventilation portion having openings that provide no visual access to the electronic components disposed within the chassis. As such, the ventilation elements visually obscure the electronic components disposed within the chassis without the need for additional materials such as screens, mesh, or foam. Also, the openings of the first and second ventilation portions provide the chassis panel with a relatively large free area ratio, such as between about 42% and 48% or greater depending on hole pitch values and opening sizes. As such, the ventilation elements help to maximize air flow through the chassis to allow cooling of the electronic components disposed therein.

A legacy card can be connected to the legacy part without interference from the extension part to facilitate backward compatibility with the legacy card.
