Methods and devices to monitor an analyte in body fluid are provided. Embodiments include continuous or discrete acquisition of analyte related data from a transcutaneously positioned in vivo analyte sensor automatically or upon request from a user.

Medical devices and methods

Embodiments described herein relate to an analyte monitoring device having a user interface with a display and a plurality of actuators. The display is configured to render a plurality of display screens, including a home screen and an alert screen. The home screen is divided into a plurality of simultaneously displayed panels, with a first panel displays a rate of change of continuously monitored analyte levels in interstitial fluid, a second panel simultaneously displays a current analyte level and an analyte trend indicator, and a third panel displays status information of a plurality of components of the device. When an alarm condition is detected, the display renders the alert screen in place of the home screen, the alert screen displaying information corresponding to the detected alarm condition. Furthermore, the actuators are configured to affect further output of the analyte monitoring device corresponding to the detected condition.

Displays for a medical device

Aspects of the disclosure provide systems including liner material and tracking tags. A first tracking tag may be at least initially arranged on the liner material. The first tracking tag may also include beacon transmission circuitry including one or more batteries, a top layer, a bottom layer including an adhesive, and an activation mechanism. The activation mechanism may be configured to activate the first tracking tag and cause the beacon transmission circuitry to transmit beacon signals in order to enable tracking of the object. The activation mechanism may further include an initially closed circuit that extends beyond a perimeter of the top layer, and the activation mechanism may be configured to automatically activate the tracking tag when the tracking tag is separated from an adjacent tracking tag on the liner material.

Methods and devices to monitor an analyte in body fluid are provided. Embodiments include continuous or discrete acquisition of analyte related data from a transcutaneously positioned in vivo analyte sensor automatically or upon request from a user. The in vivo analyte sensor is coupled to an electronics unit holding a memory with instruction to cause processing circuitry to initiate a predetermined time period that is longer than a predetermined life of the sensor, during the predetermined time period, convert signals from the sensor related to glucose to respective corresponding glucose levels, without relying on any post-manufacture independent analyte measurements from a reference device, and at the expiration of the predetermined time period, disable, deactivate, or cease use of one or more feature.

Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer-storage media, for a device with improved ambient temperature detection. In some implementations, a device includes a housing that forms an interior space, and the housing includes an exterior surface, a pass-through region that defines a through-hole between the interior space to the exterior surface, and a recess at the exterior surface adjacent to the pass-through hole. The device includes a printed circuit board disposed within the interior space of the plastic housing.

Enhanced ambient temperature detection

An electroencephalography (EEG) headset can include an arrangement of straps that provides the ability to adjust the size and shape of the headset once disposed on a user's head. In some implementations, the headset can include a first elastic strap extending from a first side of the headset to a second side of the headset along a topside of the headset. The headset can also include a second strap including at least one inelastic portion and at least one elastic portion, at least one EEG electrode coupled to the second strap, a third elastic strap extending from the first side of the headset to the second side of the headset along an underside of the headset, and a plurality of connectors that couple the elastic first strap, the second strap, or the third elastic strap.

Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer-storage media, for a device with improved ambient temperature detection. In some implementations, a device includes a housing that forms an interior space, and the housing includes an exterior surface, a pass-through region that defines a through-hole between the interior space to the exterior surface, and a recess at the exterior surface adjacent to the pass-through hole. The device includes a printed circuit board disposed within the interior space of the plastic housing. The device includes a flexible printed circuit substrate including a first end region that is connected to the printed circuit board that is disposed within the interior space of the housing, a second end region at an opposite end of the flexible printed circuit substrate than the first end region, that is disposed in the recess at the exterior surface of the housing, and a middle region that passes through the through-hole between the first end region and the second end region. The device includes a temperature sensor disposed at the second end region of the flexible printed circuit substrate in the recess at the exterior surface of the housing. The device includes a protective layer that is disposed on at least a portion of the exterior surface of the housing and that covers the recess and the through-hole.
