A cable port identification system is disclosed that provides identification facilities for communication, data, other cabling and/or wires and the connectors to which they are coupled found in a multi-port station. In some implementations the identification facilities can include label retention and protection and may also include label magnification.

Cable retainer implementations of a cable retaining system for use with patch panels and other multiport communication equipment are discussed herein. The cable retainer implementations can be useful for supporting, ordering, and otherwise managing cables coupled to multiport equipment found installed in communication racks or in stand-alone applications. The multiport equipment typically includes patch panels and can include other types of multiport equipment as well including network hubs.

To assist in searching, the following abstract includes a receptacle system used to keep a receptacle cap secure through use of an enhanced retaining strap with its associated wall plate when the receptacle cap is unscrewed. The enhanced retaining strap is a separate individual component and is separably coupled to the rest of the receptacle system so that if it is pulled with sufficient force, the strap will break free from the rest of the receptacle system before associated members such as gaskets are damaged or loosened.

A connector isolation station system includes ports to receive connectors and includes shield members. The shield members have material properties to substantially shield, attenuate, absorb, diminish, or otherwise hinder or at least partially block wireless signals and noise from impinging upon or otherwise interfering with signal transmissions occurring through the connectors located in the connector isolation station. For instance, transmissions through adjacent connectors are substantially prevented from interfering with one another.

An integrated sealable plate assembly for a sealable electrical or fiber optic connector can be used in industrial and other settings. The integrated sealable plate assembly has a plate with frame portions that are inserted into grooves of a gasket so that the plate and gasket can be coupled together as a unit for ready installation with the junction box. The gasket includes appendage portions with inner frame portions for sealing screw holes of the plate without need of conventional o-rings. When the plate and gasket are coupled together as a unit the appendage portions also serve to position and retain screws along with the plate and the gasket to further aid in installation.

Integrated sealable plate assembly system and method

A robust sealable electrical connector has a plug assembly to electrically couple wires of a cable typically within a room or other area that may have an adverse environment to wires behind a wall through a jack assembly typically mounted on the wall. When the plug assembly and jack assembly are engaged they provide a doubly sealed condition such that associated electrically conductive elements within the connector are protected from hostile environmental. The connector provides a sealed condition even when the plug assembly is partially disengaged from the connector housing or when an outward force is imparted to the plug assembly such as from vibrations or when a passerby becomes entangled with a cable extending from the plug assembly.
