A brush section for use with an electric toothbrush includes a relatively large brush head portion having a generally rectangular shape, although oblong, elliptical and other such shapes having a length to width aspect ration greater than 1 may be employed. The brush head portion is secured to a shaft portion of the brush section that may be configured to couple to a handle section. The handle section may include an electric drive including drive shaft, and the drive shaft may couple to the brush head via a coupling member positioned within the shaft portion. The electric drive may impart a rotary, oscillating rotary-oscillating or other suitable drive motion to the drive shaft that is, in turn, imparted upon the brush head by virtue of the coupling member.

Brush section for an electric toothbrush

In one embodiment, an oral-care system is provided. The oral-care system includes an electric toothbrush having a motor, a power source in electrical communication with the motor, and a bristle holder operatively connected to the motor. A display is in data communication with the electric toothbrush.

Personal care products and methods

A toothbrush head having a top surface and a bottom surface opposite the top surface is described herein. The head has a first portion, a second portion, and an opening between the first portion and the second portion. The opening extends from the top surface to the bottom surface. A first plurality of contact elements are positioned on the first portion and the second portion. A second plurality of contact elements are positioned on the first portion and the second portion. Each of the second plurality of contact elements has an elastomer.

Toothbrush head

Tooth cleaning devices. An embodiment of a tooth cleaning device includes: an elongated head sized to fit in an oral cavity. The elongated head having a first surface and a neck extending from the head. A first tooth cleaning element having a plurality of upstanding wiping members extends upward from below the first surface and extends radially outward from a center of the first tooth cleaning element. Each upstanding wiping member has a free outermost edge that extends upwards substantially from the first surface to the top of the wiping member. A plurality of upstanding arcuate shaped second tooth cleaning elements secured to the head and located outboard of the first tooth cleaning element are also provided. In addition, a plurality of upstanding third tooth cleaning elements are secured to the head and border an edge of the first surface. The third tooth cleaning elements have a circular cross-sectional area.

Toothbrushes

A toothbrush includes a handle, a head extending from the handle, and a plurality of tooth cleaning elements, such as tufts of bristles, extending from the head. Each tooth cleaning element is supported for rotation about primarily only one axis. Each tooth cleaning element is rotatable independent of the other tooth cleaning element(s).

Toothbrush

A toothbrush has a head extending from a neck which extends from a handle, and the head has a plurality of tooth cleaning elements extending therefrom. A first group of tooth cleaning elements is located towards a free end of the head, and a second group of tooth cleaning elements is located towards the outside of the head. A third group of tooth cleaning elements, which alternate with the second group of tufts, are oriented at an acute angle to a top surface of the head in a direction that is across the width of the head. A fourth group of tooth cleaning elements is located toward the inside of the head, and each is made of a thermoplastic elastomer and each is in the shape of a curved wall. A fifth group of tooth cleaning elements is located towards the inside of the head.

Vibrating toothbrush

A toothbrush has a handle and a head part, on which bristle filaments and at least one flexible cleaning element are arranged. The at least one flexible cleaning element is arranged on a carrier element which consists of a hard material and is connected to the head part. A process for producing such a toothbrush is also disclosed.

Toothbrush heads, e.g., for power toothbrushes, are provided. An embodiment of the toothbrush heads include a support structure, a plurality of upstanding accurate members extending upward from a surface of the support structure forming an open center area, a second cleaning element disposed within the open center area and plurality of bristle tufts extending from the support structure and at least partially surrounding at least one of the plurality of arcuate segments

Toothbrush heads, e.g., for power toothbrushes, are provided. The toothbrush heads include a support member, a resilient member extending from the support member, and a plurality of tufts of bristles extending from the support member and at least partially surrounding the member. The resilient member may be cup-shaped, fan-shaped, or textured.

Power toothbrushes are provided having toothbrush heads that move in a substantially random manner when in use and in contact with a user's teeth.
