The present invention relates to a cooling mechanism (), in particular for cooling oil in a motor vehicle, with a housing () having a bracket (), by means of which housing () the cooling mechanism () is connected to an internal combustion engine, a transmission fluid cooler (), and an engine oil cooler (). Pertinent to the invention is that the cooling mechanism () is designed in a sandwich-type manner having an intermediate module () positioned between the engine oil cooler () and the transmission fluid cooler (), which intermediate module () has at least one supply/removal assembly () that communicates with the engine oil cooler () and has corresponding supply/removal lines or connections.
