A multilayer imaging blanket comprises a seamless belt. A silicone layer is disposed on the belt. The silicone layer comprises silicone rubber and a metal oxide filler. A fluoroelastomer surface layer is disposed on the silicone layer. Printing apparatuses employing the multilayer imaging blanket are also disclosed.

Provided is a polymer coating composition for a surface layer, comprising a product of a grafting reaction between a fluoroelastomer and at least one of an aminosilane component and an aminofunctionalized fluorosilicone component.

An embodiment of the present disclosure is directed to an indirect printing apparatus. The indirect printing apparatus comprises an intermediate transfer member comprising a substrate and a surface layer disposed over the substrate. The surface layer comprises a fluoroelastomer-aminosilane grafted polymer and infrared absorptive filler materials. The indirect printing apparatus also comprises a coating mechanism for forming a sacrificial coating onto the intermediate transfer member and a drying station for drying the sacrificial coating. At least one ink jet nozzle is positioned proximate the intermediate transfer member and configured for jetting ink droplets onto the sacrificial coating formed on the intermediate transfer member. An ink processing station comprises a radiation source for at least partially drying the ink on the sacrificial coating formed on the intermediate transfer member. The indirect printing apparatus also comprises a substrate transfer mechanism for moving a substrate into contact with the intermediate transfer member.

Transfix surface member coating

An imaging member surface layer including between 55% and 95% fluorosilicone, between 5% and 20% infrared-absorbing material by weight, between 1% and 5% silica, between 0.15% and 0.35% catalyst and between 10% and 18% crosslinker by weight, based on the total weight of the surface layer. The surface layer has a thickness between 10 microns and 1 millimeter and a surface tension energy of 22 dynes/cm or less and a polar components of 5 dynes or less.

Imaging member for offset printing applications

There is described a transfer assist blade for an electrostatographic machine. The transfer assist blade includes a wear layer for contacting a copy sheet, an interior layer having a thickness of from about 150 microns to about 500 microns and a back layer comprising a thermoset polyimide having dispersed therein carbon particles such that an out surface of the back layer has a surface resistance of from about 1&#xd7;10ohms to about 9.99&#xd7;10ohms.
