The invention relates to benzoic acid derivatives being leukotriene antagonists. The compounds therefore are suitable as active ingredients in medicaments particularly in medicaments for the treatment of respiratory diseases.

Leukotriene antagonistic benzoic acid derivatives

The new substituted alkenoic acid derivatives can be prepared by reacting the appropriate aldehyde with a phosphonium compound. The compounds have leukotriene antagonistic properties and can be incorporated into pharmaceutical compositions.
