The present disclosure describes apparatuses and techniques for room temperature three-dimensional (3D) printing using edible printing materials. In some aspects, a 3D printer includes a printing platform configured to receive the extruded edible printing material from the printing cartridge, a cartridge receiver configured to hold an integrated printing cartridge that contains an edible printing material that can be extruded at room temperature, and a printing target. The position of the printing platform can be adjusted vertically and the position of the cartridge receiver can be adjusted in a plane perpendicular to the printing platform. The printing target is configured to allow extrusion of the edible printing material at precise and repeatable locations.

Embodiments include an apparatus for fabricating a three-dimensional object from a digital representation of the object stored in a computer readable media, the apparatus comprising: a component having a surface on which the object is to be fabricated, wherein information is embedded within the component; a sensor configured to sense the information embedded within the component; a module configured to, based on the sensor sensing the information embedded within the component, determine one or both of (i) a characteristic of the component and (ii) a configuration parameter of the apparatus; and a print mechanism disposed above the surface of the component, wherein the print mechanism is configured to, based on the determined one or both of (i) the characteristic of the component and (ii) the configuration parameter of the apparatus, fabricate the object on the surface of the component.

Method and apparatus for calibrating a three dimensional (3D) printer

Embodiments include a method of fabricating a three-dimensional (3D) object using a 3D printing system, wherein the 3D printing system controls one or more parameters of the 3D printing system to fabricate the 3D object, the method comprising: sensing a characteristic of a component of the 3D printing system, wherein the characteristic of the component of the 3D printing system changes over time; and based on sensing a change in the characteristic of the component of the 3D printing system, calibrating a first parameter of the one or more parameters used to fabricate the 3D object.

Embodiments include an apparatus for fabricating a three-dimensional (3D) object from a digital representation of the 3D object stored in a computer readable media. The apparatus includes a build platform on which the 3D object is to be fabricated and a nozzle configured to deposit printing material on the build platform to fabricate the 3D object. The apparatus further includes a first drive mechanism configured to drive the nozzle over the build platform and a second drive mechanism configured to rotate the build platform.

Embodiments of the present disclosure provide an apparatus comprising a power supply, a wireless controller coupled to the power supply, the wireless controller being configured to wirelessly receive a command from a wireless thermostat of a ventilation system, the ventilation system having a vent through which a fluid passes, and a flow controller to automatically control an amount of flow of the fluid through the vent of the ventilation system based at least in part on the command received wirelessly from the wireless thermostat. The first nib structure further includes a first nib coupled to the first end. The apparatus further includes a capacitive force sensor coupled to the second end of the first nib structure.
