A trailing harrow attachment is pivotally connected to the aft end of support arms for rotation about a transverse axis between a field-working position wherein the harrow tines engage the soil, and a non-operative position wherein the harrow is rotated about the axis by approximately 180.degree. so that the tines extend away from the ground to provide better trash flow and ground clearance. The angles that attach the harrow to the trailing arms include apertures located an equal distance radially outwardly on opposite sides of the axis so that the harrow may be pinned at the same location on one of the support arms in either the field-working or the non-operative position.

A wheel arrangement includes a retainer mechanism with a spring-loaded pin mounted on the walking beam of a support wheel assembly on a folding implement. A mating retainer supported on the wheel support tube is normally offset from the pin when the implement is in the lowered field-working position. As the implement is raised toward the transport position and the angle of the beam changes relative to the support tube, the pin settles in a central notch in the retainer. The retainer mechanism maintains a preselected angle between the beam and the support tube as the outrigger is moved upwardly and the outrigger wheels are raised from the ground, thereby preventing unwanted rocking of the walking beam during transport and maintaining the wheels in a noninterfering relationship with other portions of the implement.

An agricultural implement with a main frame and inner and outer wing frames that include gravity actuated latching structure securing the wing frames in a folded position. The latching structure automatically locks the wing frames together as they are pivoted upwardly in the folded position toward a transport position and unlocks the wing frames as they are pivoted downwardly toward a transport position.

A spring trip standard assembly for a chisel plow or the like, the standard assembly having a compact single coil spring structure with a trip geometry producing a high initial trip force and a reduced maximum to initial trip force ratio. The horizontal trip force remains above the initial trip force through greater than half the trip height and then the trip force decreases. By reduction of the ratio of maximum to initial trip force, a heavy duty standard assembly is provided which may be used on lightweight tool frames originally designed for high trip force ratio standards having lower initial spring trip forces.

To create a compact package for transport and storage of a foldable agricultural implement such as a field cultivator or the like, a pair of hydraulically operated 180.degree. fold hinges of different heights connect the outrigger frames to the ends of the main frame of the implement. The hinges lift the outrigger frames up and sequentially stackfold one on top of the other in generally parallel relationship above the main frame.

A double-coil spring tine is pivotally attached to a channel-shaped mounting bar of a harrow unit by a removable bracket. The portion of the tine connecting the coils is held loosely next to the mounting bar by the bracket so that the entire tine can pivot about the axis of the attaching portion. The portion of the tine on either side of the bracket is placed in tension rather than subjected to bending. Tines are individually replaceable without need to disassemble the mounting bar.
