A foldable toilet footrest that includes a platform with a first leg and a second leg coupled thereto by hinges. The hinges can include a releasable locking system that allows the first leg and the second leg by to be fixed in an unfolded, use position or a folded, non-use position.

The pain-relieving apparatus has a housing, a stimulating surface, user inputs, and a plurality of ports, such as a battery port and a transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) output connector. The stimulating surface may include a suction ring, vacuum apertures, vibration stimulators, a plate, heat and cold transducer elements, and medicinal holders to provide various approaches for relieving pain. The pain-relieving apparatus may also have a sound speaker for producing nerve stimulating sounds.

This invention generally provides two tactile stimulation modules, or 'tappers'. One tapper is held by a person in each of his hands. Alternatively, a tapper is secured to each wrist or to other parts of the body on opposite sides. Each tapper is powered by a rechargeable battery, and contains both a tactile stimulation transducer, such as an electric motor having either a balanced or unbalanced mass on its output shaft, and a transceiver that communicates with a host or master. Each tapper includes at least one control button and a status indicator. Each tapper contains a micro-controller that performs tasks such as communication, motor activation, user monitoring and control, battery monitoring, low-power sleep, and algorithm execution. At least one tapper can contain at least one optional sensor, which measures a physiological function. Measurements can be used to modify performance of the tactile stimulation transducers.

A sutureless device and methods for closing a tissue opening that minimizes the labor, cost, and skill typically required is disclosed. The apparatus comprises two anchors that attach to either side of an open tissue wound. The two anchors are connected together by a tie strip; the tie strip has a plurality of teeth and a rack. As the wound edges and anchors are brought together the ratchet system on the tie strip prevents the anchors and tissue wound from reopening. To control the distance between the two anchors, a rack and pinion system and a key or a lever system is utilized. The rack is located on the tie strip and the pinion is located on the key.

The body may be a thin, pliable plastic, such as silicone, so as to create proper suction with the tongue when inserted into the tongue receiving portion. A healthcare provider is able to extend and manipulate a patient's tongue so as to clearly view the mouth and throat without activating the gag reflex and maintaining control of the tongue by the provider.

The housing includes a power source that delivers a defibrillation of a set number of joules via monophasic or biphasic options. The housing may be lightweight and compact. The housing further comprises a plurality of ports, such as a charging port, a plurality of USB ports, a cable output port, a 12V port, and an AC in port. The housing also comprises a power button and a flashlight. A user may use a phone application and connect to the multi-function AED through connecting physically via the user's own phone cord or via a wireless connection to recognize and treat ventricular fibrillation.
