The present disclosure provides a white ink comprising an aqueous ink vehicle, a white colorant, and latex particles. The colorant can consist essentially of metal oxide particles present at from 2 wt % to 50 wt %, can have an average particle size from 100 nm to 1000 nm, and can have a high refractive index from 1.8 to 2.8. The latex can be present in the ink at from 2 wt % to 20 wt %, can have a glass transition temperature from 0&#xb0; C. to 130&#xb0; C., and can have a low refractive index from 1.3 to 1.6. The metal oxide particles and latex particles can be present in the white ink at weight ratio is from 6:1 to 1:3.

White ink

In one aspect the present disclosure relates to an aqueous inkjet ink composition comprising a yellow azo pigment, a pigment synergist, a polymeric dispersant, 5 to 20 wt % of a latex polymer, 5 to 40 wt % of an organic co-solvent that has a boiling point of a boiling point in the range of about 170&#xb0; C. to about 285&#xb0; C., and water. The pigment synergist comprises a pigment of the formula (I): where each of Rto Ris each independently selected from H, carboxylate, and/or a sulphonate group.

Inkjet ink composition

A polymer particle includes a first heteropolymer composition and a second heteropolymer composition having a higher glass transition temperature (T) than a Tof the first heteropolymer composition. The first heteropolymer composition includes two or more aliphatic (meth)acrylate ester monomers or two or more aliphatic (meth)acrylamide monomers. The second heteropolymer composition includes a cycloaliphatic monomer and an aromatic monomer. The cycloaliphatic monomer is selected from the group consisting of a cycloaliphatic (meth)acrylate monomer and a cycloaliphatic (meth)acrylamide monomer and the aromatic monomer is selected from the group consisting of an aromatic (meth)acrylate monomer and an aromatic (meth)acrylamide monomer.

Polymer particles

Herein is described a latex polymer derived from a composition comprising a cycloaliphatic monomer and an aromatic monomer, wherein the cycloaliphatic monomer comprises a cycloaliphatic (meth)acrylate monomer or a cycloaliphatic (meth)acrylamide monomer and the aromatic monomer comprises an aromatic (meth)acrylate monomer or an aromatic (meth)acrylamide monomer. Also described is an inkjet ink composition comprising the latex polymer.

Latex polymer

Described herein is an inkjet ink composition and an inkjet cartridge comprising an inkjet ink composition and an ink ejection device comprising a recirculation system. The inkjet ink composition may comprise a latex polymer and an ink vehicle. The ink vehicle comprising water and a co-solvent comprising a solvent having a boiling point in the range of about 170&#xb0; C. to about 215&#xb0; C. and a solvent having a boiling point of about 220&#xb0; C. or more.

Inkjet ink composition and inkjet cartridge

The present disclosure refers to an inkjet ink set comprising a black ink with a black pigment, a yellow ink with a yellow pigment, a cyan ink with a cyan pigment, a magenta ink with a magenta pigment and a white ink with a white pigment. At least one of the ink further contains a latex binder that is dispersed in the ink vehicle, and that includes a first heteropolymer including two or more aliphatic (meth)acrylate ester monomers or two or more aliphatic (meth)acrylamide monomers; and a second heteropolymer including a cycloaliphatic monomer and an aromatic monomer. The present disclosure refers also to a printing method using the ink set and to a system for printing the ink set.

Inkjet ink set

Herein is described an inkjet printing system comprising: an aqueous pre-treatment fluid comprising a cationic polymer and a pre-treatment vehicle; an aqueous inkjet ink composition comprising a latex polymer comprising a (meth)acrylate or (meth)acrylamide polymer or copolymer, a pigment and an ink vehicle; and an aqueous inkjet overcoat composition comprising a latex polymer comprising a (meth)acrylate or (meth)acrylamide polymer or copolymer, a wax and an overcoat vehicle.

Inkjet printing system

The present disclosure refers to an inkjet ink composition comprising an ink vehicle including water; a white metal oxide pigment dispersed in the ink vehicle; and a latex binder, dispersed in the ink vehicle. The latex binder includes a first heteropolymer including two or more aliphatic (meth)acrylate ester monomers or two or more aliphatic (meth)acrylamide monomers; and a second heteropolymer including a cycloaliphatic monomer and an aromatic monomer. The present disclosure refers also to a printing method using such inkjet ink composition.

The present disclosure provides ink-jet inks incorporating dimeric fluorosurfactants. As such, an ink-jet ink can include a liquid vehicle; a non-ionic fluorosurfactant dimer having the structure CF(CF)(CH)(CRCRO)-A-(OCRCR)(CH)(CF)CF, where R is independently H or methyl, A is a bridging unit containing aliphatic or aromatic functionality, x is 3 to 18, y is 0 to 8, z is 0 to 100, a is 0 to 100, b is 0 to 8, and c is 3 to 18; and a polymer.

Dimeric fluorosurfactants for ink-jet inks

Marking fluids and apparatus for marking vinyl substrates, such as through inkjet printing, use aqueous-based fluid vehicles having an amount of a vinyl-softening co-solvent sufficient to cause swelling of the vinyl substrate after water has been driven from the marking fluid.

Marking fluids for vinyl substrates

The present disclosure provides dimeric fluorosurfactants related methods and ink-jet inks incorporating such fluorosurfactants. As such, an ink-jet ink can comprise a liquid vehicle; a non-ionic fluorosurfactant dimer having the structure CF(CF)(CH)(CRCRO)-A-(OCRCR)(CH)(CF)CF, where R is independently H or methyl, A is a bridging unit containing aliphatic or aromatic functionality, x is 3 to 18, y is 0 to 8, z is 0 to 100, a is 0 to 100, b is 0 to 8, and c is 3 to 18; and a colorant.

The present disclosure provides ink-jet inks and associated methods. In one example, an ink jet ink can comprise an ink vehicle, a wax emulsion, and a latex particulate. The latex particulate can comprise multiple intermingled discrete polymer strands, including: a low Tg polymer strand having a Tg below 50&#xb0; C. and a high Tg polymer strand having a Tg at 50&#xb0; C. or above. Additionally, the Tg of the high Tg polymer strand can be at least 50&#xb0; C. greater than the Tg of the low Tg polymer strand.

Latexes and associated ink-jet inks

The present disclosure provides latexes and related methods and inkjet inks incorporating such latexes. A latex particulate can comprising multiple intermingled discrete polymer strands, including a low Tg polymer strand having a Tg below 50&#xb0; C. and a high Tg polymer strand having a Tg at 50&#xb0; C. or above. The Tg of the high Tg polymer strand can be at least 50&#xb0; C. greater than the Tg of the low Tg polymer strand, and the average refractive index of the monomers of the low Tg polymer strand can be within 1% of the average refractive index of the monomers of the high Tg polymer strand.

Latexes and associated inkjet inks

According to an example, a method for TIJ printing may include applying, by a processor, F electrical firing pulses to a resistor of a TIJ printhead for a duration of about 0.50 to 1.00 &#x3bc;s to jet a latex ink or a dispersed polymer particle ink from a nozzle. According to another example, a TIJ printing apparatus may include a TIJ printhead including a firing chamber to jet a latex ink or a dispersed polymer particle ink from a nozzle, and a resistor to heat the latex ink or the dispersed polymer particle ink to jet from the nozzle. The TIJ printing apparatus may further include a memory storing machine readable instructions to apply F electrical firing pulses to the resistor for a duration of about 0.50 to 1.00 &#x3bc;s to jet the latex ink or the dispersed polymer particle ink, and a processor to implement the machine readable instructions.

Thermal ink jet printing

The present disclosure provides a method of inkjet printing on non-porous media including inkjet printing a fixer fluid on the non-porous media and inkjet printing an ink onto the non-porous media, where the printing of the ink is within 125 milliseconds of the printing of the fixer fluid. Thus, the ink is printed to contact the fixer fluid within 125 milliseconds of each being printed. In one example, the fixer fluid can include a liquid vehicle including water and co-solvent having a boiling point from 160&#xb0; C. to 250&#xb0; C., a surfactant, and a cationic polymer; and the ink can comprise an anionic pigment dispersion.
