Embodiments of the present invention relate to the field of wireless communication, and in particular, to a wireless local area network data transmission method and apparatus, which are used for improving data transmission efficiency. The method of the embodiments of the present invention includes: carrying, by a control domain of a PLCP header domain in a PPDU constructed by an AP, identifier information of the AP, duration information, and an identifier of at least one STA, so that a STA may obtain the identifier information of the AP, the duration information, and the identifier of at least one STA by parsing only the control domain of the PLCP header domain.

Wireless local area network data transmission method and apparatus

Embodiments of the present invention discloses a wireless local area network data transmission method and apparatus, which are used for improving data transmission efficiency. The method includes: generating, by an access point (AP), a physical layer protocol data unit (PPDU) of a wireless local area network, wherein the PPDU comprises a Physical Layer Convergence Protocol (PLCP) header domain and a data domain, wherein the PLCP header domain comprises a preamble and a control domain, and the control domain carries duration information, wherein the duration information is used for network allocation vector (NAV) setting and protecting transmission of subsequent one or more PPDUs after the generated PPDU in a transmission opportunity (TXOP), and a duration indicated by the duration information includes transmission time of the subsequent one or more PPDUs after the generated PPDU in the TXOP; and sending, by the AP, the generated PPDU.

An embodiment method includes receiving, by an access point (AP), a first authentication request from a station (STA) that requests authentication of the STA, transmitting, by the AP, a second authentication request to a server that requests including extensible authentication protocol (EAP) authentication signaling to verify mutual possession of a shared key between the STA and the server, and receiving, by the AP, a first authentication response from the server in response to the second authentication request. The first authentication response includes an indication that authentication of the STA was successful. The method further includes transmitting, by the AP, a second authentication response to the STA, and receiving, by the AP, an association request that includes a message integrity code (MIC) from the STA.

Embodiments provide a method for accessing a wireless local area network, a station, and an access point. An orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) frame includes a 256 tone payload. The 256 tone payload may consist of either 234 data tones when the payload is carried in a downlink transmission. A method and system for multicast and broadcast system (MCBCS) synchronization and macro diversity is provided. In an embodiment, an MBS Proxy creates the necessary messages with synchronization rules embedded therein. The messages are provided to an MBS Distributed DPF and a base station, which performs a final PHY frame construction for transmission. In another embodiment, the MBS Proxy provides the necessary information to the base station and the base station creates the messages, including the synchronization rules.
