Systems and methods for managing a network are disclosed. One method can comprise determining a first modulation rate associated with a network device. A beacon can be transmitted at a second modulation rate, wherein the second modulation rate is greater than the first modulation rate. A user device can be associated with the network device based on the beacon if the user device is configured to support the second modulation rate.

Systems, methods, or apparatus may comprise a computing device to transmit a first plurality of beacon frames, where each beacon frame includes a first network identifier, and a second plurality of beacon frames, where each beacon frame includes a different second network identifier. Further, the computing device may also cause the wireless transceiver to transmit the first plurality of beacon frames using a transmission parameter, and transmit the second plurality of beacon frames using a different transmission parameter—that differs from the transmission parameter of the first plurality of beacon frames.

Methods and systems are described for generating and utilizing a pattern of association. The pattern of association can comprise information that indicates to which of a plurality of network devices one or more mobile devices are likely to connect. The pattern of association can comprise information that indicates an order of association. The pattern of association can be associated with one or more factors which can be any information that provides insight into the pattern of association. The pattern of association can be used to identify a next network device that a mobile device will transition to, based on which network device the mobile device is currently connected to. Data, such as authentication information, can be pushed to the identified next network device to reduce network connectivity issues that may occur by transitioning between network devices.

According to some aspects, disclosed methods and systems may include receiving a message indicating a loss of connectivity to a network of a distressed device associated with a location. The method may include connecting, via one or more network devices, to the distressed device associated with the location. One method can comprise determining location information of one or more access points and selecting a routing device based upon the location information. For example, systems and methods are disclosed for selectively disabling and/or otherwise configuring devices to avoid interference, overlapping service, and/or the like. Signal information for nearby devices can be detected and analyzed to determine device configuration settings.

Network control

Systems and methods for provisioning and validating a network are disclosed. One method can comprise providing a first communication tunnel between a network access point and a first tunnel endpoint. Availability of the first tunnel endpoint can be determined. If the first tunnel endpoint is determined to be available, network traffic can be routed to the first tunnel endpoint. If the first tunnel endpoint is determined to be unavailable, a second communication tunnel between the network access point and a second tunnel endpoint can be provided.

Network validation with dynamic tunneling

Systems and methods for managing a network are disclosed. One method can comprise detecting a triggering event at a node. Location information of the node can be transmitted to a routing device in response to the triggering event. Location information of the node can be transmitted to a management device. The management device can be configured to control an operation of one or more of the node and the routing device in response to the location information.
