An example fitting includes: a fitting body comprising an exterior annular groove formed and configured to receive a retaining snap ring to couple the fitting body to a fluid line connector; a seal carrier slidably accommodated in the fitting body and having: (i) a first end face, (ii) a second end face opposite the first end face, (iii) a first annular groove formed in an exterior peripheral surface of the seal carrier, wherein the first annular groove is configured to receive a radial seal therein, and (iv) a second annular groove formed in the second end face, wherein the second annular groove is configured to receive a face seal therein; and a spring having a first end fixedly disposed within the fitting body and a second end interfacing with the first end face of the seal carrier such that the spring applies a biasing force on the seal carrier.

Fluid connection system with a push-to-connect face seal configuration

An example fitting includes: a fitting body having counterbore, where the counterbore defines an annular shoulder within tire fitting body: a spring having a first end interfacing with the annular shoulder of the counterbore; and a seal carrier having: (i) a first end face interfacing with a second end of the spring, (ii) a second end face configured to interface with an internal surface of a port, such that the spring is configured to apply a biasing force on the seal carrier toward the internal surface of the port, (iii) a first annular groove on an exterior peripheral surface of the seal carrier, where the first annular groove is configured to have a radial seal disposed therein, and (iv) a second annular groove in the second end face, where the second annular groove is configured to have a face seal disposed therein.

Fluid connector

A threaded coupling for ensuring a complete connection between fluid conduits includes a body portion of a fluid conduit, an axially forward sealing surface, a thread, and an interference member. The interference member is disposed on the body portion and is engageable with a portion of another fluid conduit to apply a load on the interference member when the fluid conduits are threadably connected together. The interference member is configured to prevent a complete sealing engagement between the fluid conduits when the load on the interference member is less than a predefined amount, and is configured to allow the complete sealing engagement between the fluid conduits when the load on the interference member meets or exceeds the predetermined amount.

Threaded coupling with under-torque prevention

A bulkhead fitting has a partially assembled configuration and a fully assembled configuration on a bulkhead. The bulkhead includes an interior surface that define a hole. The bulkhead fitting includes a fitting body having a head portion and a shank portion. The shank portion includes a threaded portion, a relief portion, and a locking portion. The locking portion includes a tapered locking surface and a cylindrical locking surface. The locking surfaces prevent rotation of the fitting body and retain the fitting body in the interior surface when the fitting is in its fully assembled position and during assembly.
