A depilatory cream composition comprising &#x2022;a depilatory active; and, &#x2022;a conditioning complex; wherein the conditioning complex comprises: &#x2022;one or more of: a glycol carboxylate, a dialkyl ether of formula R&#x2014;O&#x2014;Rwherein Rand R, independently of one another, represent linear or branched alkyl and/or alkenyl groups having from 6 to 28 carbon atoms; and, an aliphatic alkyl mono-alcohol having at least 12 carbon atoms in the alkyl chain; &#x2022;a silicone or an optionally branched alkane containing at least 12 carbon atoms; &#x2022;an ethoxylated fatty alcohol and/or ethoxylated fatty ester with an HLB value of 13 or above; and, &#x2022;a conditioning agent &#x2022;water.
