According to one aspect, an integrated circuit includes: an electronic module configured to generate a voltage at an output, and an electronic control circuit coupled to an output of the electronic module, the electronic control circuit comprising an emissive electronic component. The electronic control circuit is configured to cause the emissive electronic component to emit light radiation as a function of a value of the voltage at the output of the electronic module relative to a value of an operating voltage of the electronic module, and the operating voltage is specific thereto during normal operation of this electronic module. The light radiation emitted by the emissive electronic component is configured to diffuse to an outer face of the integrated circuit.

Integrated circuit and method for diagnosing an integrated circuit

A system includes lighting devices coupled to output supply pins, a microcontroller circuit, and a driver circuit, which receives data therefrom, and switches coupled in series to the lighting devices. The driver circuit includes output supply pins and selectively propagates a supply voltage to the output supply pins to provide respective pulse-width modulated supply signals at the output supply pins. The driver circuit computes duty-cycle values of the pulse-width modulated supply signals as a function of the data received from the microcontroller circuit. The lighting devices include at least one subset coupled to the same output supply pin. The microcontroller individually controls the switches via respective control signals to individually adjust a brightness of the lighting devices in the at least one subset of lighting devices.

Electronic system for driving light sources and method of driving light sources

A method for writing into a one-time programmable memory of an integrated circuit includes attempting, by a memory control circuit of the integrated circuit, to write data in at least one first register of the one-time programmable memory; verifying, by the memory control circuit, whether the data has been correctly written in the at least one first register; and, in case the data has not been correctly written in the at least one first register, attempting, by the memory control circuit, to write the data in at least one second register of the one-time programmable memory.

Selective power supply device for incandescent lamp or light-emitting diode

An output stage configuration with four configurable input/output terminals and four switches is specified. Each switch has a first main terminal, a second main terminal and a control terminal, which receives a control signal for controlling the open or closed state of the switch. The output stage is included in a circuit together with a first control apparatus and a second control apparatus. When a control stage of the first control apparatus is connected to the output stage, a control stage of the second control apparatus is electrically disconnected from the output stage, and the output stage operates in a first operating state. When the control stage of the second control apparatus is connected to the output stage, the control stage of the first control apparatus is electrically disconnected from the output stage, the output stage then operating in a second operating state.

Reconfigurable output stage

The present invention relates to a method of protecting an inductive loudspeaker. The method comprises filtering the audio stream by applying a compensation filter to the audio stream, sending the filtered audio stream to the inductive loudspeaker, computing an estimation of a frequency response of the inductive loudspeaker and updating the compensation filter so as to attenuate a frequency corresponding to a resonant frequency in the estimated frequency response of the inductive loudspeaker.

Receiving circuitry having a plurality of amplifiers coupled in series, a first of the amplifiers receiving an input signal and each of the amplifiers outputting an amplified signal; a plurality of comparators each coupled to the output of one of the amplifiers and having an input for receiving the amplified signal; signal identification circuitry coupled to the outputs of the comparators and arranged to determine whether the outputs of the comparators validly represent data; and signal selection circuitry arranged to select the best signal originating from the comparators based on the validity of the outputs of the comparators.

Receiver circuitry with variable gain amplifier

An overdrive control system includes a voltage controlled current source to deliver a compensation current, and being between a first voltage reference and an internal node, which is connected to an output terminal. The voltage controlled current source has a control terminal connected to an output terminal of an adding block, which has a positive input connected to an input terminal. At least one clamping block is between the output terminal and a second voltage reference, and is connected to a negative input of the adding block. The voltage controlled current source delivers its compensation current to the output terminal when a voltage signal on the input terminal has an higher value than a voltage signal on the output terminal, and forces an output voltage signal to follow an input voltage signal to an extent that depends on a clamping voltage provided by the clamping block.

Overdrive control system

A current mirror includes at least a first and a second mirror transistors inserted between a first and a second voltage reference and connected to an input terminal and to an output terminal of the current mirror, respectively. The current mirror further includes a base current compensation block inserted between the input terminal and common control terminals of the first and second mirror transistors and connected to a voltage reference. The base current compensation block at least includes a bias current generator of a bias current and a first compensation transistor inserted, in series to each other, between the voltage reference and the input terminal, and a second compensation transistor inserted between the voltage reference and the common control terminals of the mirror transistors and having a control terminal connected to a control terminal of the first compensation transistor.

Current mirror

A digitizer for a digital receiver system includes an input terminal to receive a modulated analog input voltage signal, and an output terminal to provide an output voltage signal being a digital conversion of the input voltage signal. A comparator circuit has an output coupled to the output terminal and includes an operational amplifier having a first input terminal coupled to the input terminal. A threshold generator circuit is between the input terminal and a second input terminal of the at least one operational amplifier, to provide a tunable voltage reference signal thereto. The threshold generator circuit includes a thresholding circuit to determine a threshold voltage value of the modulated analog input voltage signal, and a tunable voltage reference circuit coupled to the thresholding circuit to generate the tunable voltage reference signal as a function of the threshold voltage value of the modulated analog input voltage signal.

Digitizer for a digital receiver system

A phase locked loop circuit comprising a phase detector having a first input for receiving a first frequency signal and an output, a first filter adapted to filter the output electric signal of the phase detector, a voltage controlled oscillator adapted to generate a second frequency signal in response to the output filtered signal of the phase detector. The phase detector has a second input for receiving the second frequency signal and is adapted to compare it with the first frequency signal. The circuit comprises means adapted to amplify the difference between an electric signal coupled with the output of the phase detector and a reference electric signal and a second filter adapted to receive the output electric signal of the amplification means and to send an output electric signal to the voltage controlled oscillator. The circuit comprises further means adapted to modify the value of the electric signal in input to the second filter to decrease the response time of the second filter.

Phase locked loop circuit having reduced lock time

A variable-gain amplifier includes an amplifier stage; an attenuating network receiving an input signal; a plurality of transconductance stages, connected between respective nodes of the attenuating network and the amplifier stage, wherein each of the transconductance stages has a differential circuit, configured to supply differential currents to the amplifier stage; and a gain-control circuit for controlling the transconductance stages according to an electrical control quantity. Each of the transconductance stages further includes a current-divider circuit associated to the differential circuit and controlled by the gain-control circuit so as to divide the differential currents between the amplifier stage and a dispersion line proportionally to the control quantity.
