A switching system for switching an electrical device, comprising: a vacuum interrupter including a fixed electrode, and a mobile electrode, the mobile electrode configured to move between a closed position and an open position. The switching system further comprising an elastic return means configured to apply a driving force to the mobile electrode, and a retaining member for retaining the elastic return means, the retaining member configured to move from a retention configuration, in which the elastic return means is immobilized, into a movement configuration, in which the elastic return means is released. The switching system is configured so that the mobile electrode moves from the closed position to the open position under the action of the elastic return means when the retaining member leaves its retention configuration.

An electromagnetic actuator including a magnetic housing, a coil that is rigidly connected to the housing and is capable of being connected to an electric circuit, a magnetic core that is arranged in the coil and can move along a central axis defined by the coil and according to the strength of the current flowing in the coil, and a shunt that is arranged in the coil and includes a magnetocaloric material the magnetisation of which is temperature-dependent. The shunt is arranged in the coil along the central axis along a length so as to create an air gap between the shunt and the magnetic core. The actuator further includes a device for attaching the shunt to the housing that are designed to adjust the length.

A current limiting device including a transformer including an element made from a magnetothermal material, a primary conductor, and a secondary winding. Heat is generated by the current flowing through the primary conductor and when the current exceeds a certain threshold it modifies the coupling coefficient of the transformer, which makes it possible to limit the current in the primary conductor.

An electromagnetic actuator including a saturable magnetic shunt system. The shunt is associated with a coil of the actuator and allows channeling of a more or less large part of the flow according to current circulating in the product. In this way, when the actuator is used in a circuit breaker, the actuator allows the circuit breaker to be triggered from a short circuit as usual and also from overload caused by action of the shunt.

Insulation monitoring of a direct current power supply system is achieved by application of an alternating current and the detector is constituted by a current transformer and a Hall-effect current sensor. This Hall-effect sensor controls a direct current generator, which supplies a compensation winding of the current transformer, so as to prevent saturation of the toroid of this current transformer. When a ground fault occurs, the alternating current generator generates a fault current detected by the transformer.

Insulation monitoring system of a direct current power supply system

An insulation monitoring device comprises an input circuit of a reference AC signal, and an electronic detection circuit for discriminating the components of a measurement signal proportional to the ground fault impedance Z formed by a leakage resistor Rf in parallel with a leakage capacitor C. A synchronous detector has a pair of static inverters processing the first component, which is a function of the current IR flowing through the leakage resistor Rf, and of the second component which is a function of the current IC flowing through the capacitor C. A converter cooperates with the generator to deliver two quadrature signals C1 and C2 to respectively control the inverters. A display means accurately displays the value of the leakage resistance Rf.
