The cylindrical body portion extends circumferentially about a center axis between and to a first circumferential end and a second circumferential end. The cylindrical body portion extends axially between and to a first axial end and a second axial end. The first tab is disposed at the first axial end and extends radially inward from the cylindrical body portion. The second tab is axially spaced from the first axial end and the second axial end and extends radially inward from the cylindrical body portion. The opposing fastener mount portions include a first fastener mount portion and a second fastener mount portion. The first fastener mount portion is disposed at the first circumferential end. The second fastener mount portion is disposed at the second circumferential end.

Mechanical dissuasion device for a fluid assembly joint

A gas turbine engine includes a turbine section, a turbine case, an inner case, and a damping seal baffle. The turbine section extends along a rotational axis of the gas turbine engine. The turbine case includes a cantilevered inner wall. The cantilevered inner wall extends circumferentially about the rotational axis. The cantilevered inner wall extends between and to an upstream axial end and a downstream axial end. The upstream axial end is disposed at and downstream of the turbine section. The cantilevered inner wall forms a first sealing surface and a second sealing surface. The inner case extends and the damping seal baffle extend circumferentially about the rotational axis. The damping seal baffle is mounted to the inner case. The damping seal baffle is disposed in contact with one or both of the first sealing surface or the second sealing surface.

Turbine case structure for an aircraft propulsion system engine

An integrated blade rotor (IBR) is provided and includes a disc, blades integrally formed with the disc and radially outwardly facing surfaces of the disc. Each radially outwardly facing surface is disposed adjacent to a corresponding blade and includes a curved profile.

A seal of a gas turbine engine includes a rotationally stationary seal element secured to a rotationally fixed component of the gas turbine engine, and a labyrinth seal element secured to and rotatable with a rotational component of the gas turbine engine. The labyrinth seal element includes a seal base, and a plurality of seal fins extending outwardly from the seal base, the plurality of seal fins configured to define a seal interface between the plurality of seal fins and the rotationally stationary seal element to prevent airflow therethrough. A removal face is defined integral to an end fin of the plurality of seal fins. The removal face is configured for application of a removal force thereto to remove the labyrinth seal from an installed position in the gas turbine engine.

An assembly is provided for a gas turbine engine. This gas turbine engine assembly includes a seal carrier, a seal land, a seal ring, a plate and a fastener. The seal carrier has an annular groove and extends between a first side and a second side. The seal land is opposite the annular groove. The seal ring seals a gap between the seal carrier and the seal land. The seal ring is seated in the annular groove. The plate is at the second side of the seal carrier. The fastener includes a head and an elongated member connected to the head. The head is at the first side of the seal carrier. The elongated member projects out from the head through the seal carrier, the seal ring and the plate. The elongated member is bonded to the plate.

Joint between gas turbine engine components with bonded fastener(s)

A service tube assembly, has: a service tube having a threaded end portion and an outer shoulder adjacent to the threaded end portion, the outer shoulder having a frustoconical shoulder face converging towards the tube axis and away from the threaded end portion; a mating part threadingly engaged by the threaded end portion, the mating part having a seat face converging towards the service tube and towards the threaded end portion; a locking member extending from a first end to a second end, the first end including a notch receiving the outer shoulder, the notch circumscribed by a frustoconical notch face abutting the frustoconical shoulder face to create a frustoconical-to-frustoconical contact surface between the locking member and the outer shoulder, the second end in abutment against the seat face; and a mechanical fastener releasably holding the locking member in abutment against both of the outer shoulder and the mating part.

Service tube locking device

An assembly is provided for a gas turbine engine. This engine assembly includes a bladed rotor rotatable about an axis, and an engine case. The engine case includes an outer duct wall, a first circumferential stiffener, a second circumferential stiffener and a plurality of axial stiffeners. The outer duct wall forms a shroud around the bladed rotor. The first circumferential stiffener extends circumferentially about the outer duct wall. The second circumferential stiffener extends circumferentially about the outer duct wall. The axial stiffeners are arranged circumferentially about the outer duct wall. Each of the axial stiffeners extends axially between the first circumferential stiffener and the second circumferential stiffener.

Gas turbine engine exhaust case with blade shroud and stiffeners

A service tube assembly comprises a service tube having a threaded end portion and a shoulder. The outer shoulder has a conical surface converging in a direction away from the threaded end portion. The threaded end portion is threadably engaged with a mating part. The mating part has a seat surface which cooperates with the shoulder of the service tube to form a conical seat. The assembly further includes a locking member having an outer conical surface complementary to the conical seat. A mechanical fastener is provided for releasably holding the locking member against the conical seat.

A service tube assembly comprises a service tube having a threaded end portion and a ratchet hub spaced from the threaded end portion. The threaded end portion of the service tube is threadably engaged with a mating part. The assembly further comprises a locking member having a cantilever extending from a fixed end held relative to the mating part to a free end. A ratchet pawl is provided at the free end for engagement with the ratchet hub on the service tube.
