Methods and apparatus for retrieving a fish from a wellbore. A method includes introducing a specialized fishing tool into the wellbore. The specialized fishing tool includes a fishing subassembly comprising a nonreflective interior, a shroud coupled to the fishing subassembly, and a camera disposed at least partially within the shroud and configured to view the interior of the fishing subassembly. The specialized fishing tool is conveyed downhole in the wellbore to a location of the fish. The fish is visualized with the camera. The fish is coupled to the fishing subassembly, and the fish is retrieved from the wellbore.

Systems and methods of the present disclosure relate to identifying geometric features of a conduit. A method includes controlling a flow into or out of a conduit to induce pressure waves in the conduit; measuring, with a pressure transducer, pressure responses in the conduit due to contact of the pressure waves with a geometric feature of the conduit; and identifying the geometric feature, based on the pressure responses.

Feature determination and calibration of pipeline geometry and features utilizing controlled fluid waves

A method may include injecting a sealing material into an annulus formed between a tubular and a wellbore wall. The sealing material is configured to surround at least a portion of a control line disposed in the annulus. Further, the method includes making at least one orbital cut, via a cutting device, through the tubular, the sealing material in the annulus, and the control line surrounded by the sealing material. Additionally, the method includes filling the at least one orbital cut and at least a portion of a central bore of the tubular with additional sealing material to seal the wellbore.

A downhole tool for cleaning and sealing a wellbore includes a wash tool configured at a downhole end of the downhole tool to generate pulses of a first fluid at a first frequency and a first pressure for washing a target interval of a wellbore. The downhole tool further includes a plugging tool configured uphole or downhole from the wash tool to generate pulses of a second fluid at a second frequency and a second pressure for depositing a sealing plug at the target interval of the wellbore. The second fluid has a higher viscosity than the first fluid, the second frequency is lower than the first frequency, and the second pressure is higher than the first pressure.

Single trip wellbore cleaning and sealing system and method

A reel assembly is provided. The reel assembly includes a housing, a drum core disposed within the housing, and a splitter flange separating the drum core into a first partition and a second partition. A first conduit is wound on the first partition of the drum core, and a second conduit is wound on the second partition of the drum core. A conduit handler system is utilized to make a connection or test a connection between the first conduit and the second conduit using actuating pistons to apply a compressive or an opposing tensile force on the connection.

A pigging tool may include a housing positionable in a pipeline. The housing may define a bypass channel that extends along an axis that is nonparallel to a longitudinal axis of the housing. An energy generation device can be positioned in the bypass channel of the housing such that fluid is receivable by the energy generation device to generate energy for the pigging tool. Further, an energy storage device may store energy generated from the energy generation device. The energy storage device may provide the pigging tool with energy to perform one or more operations in the pipeline.

A method may include positioning a vessel supporting a coiled tubing string over a subsea wellhead disposed on a wellbore; relaying and landing a distal end of the coiled tubing string to the subsea wellhead using a first injector, wherein relaying the distal end of the coiled tubing string may include relating a second injector into a subsea environment to establish a subsea injector, and wherein the first injector is a surface injector disposed on the vessel. The method may further include connecting a coiled tubing module to a pressure control assembly disposed on a subsea wellhead and using either the first injector or the second injector as a principal injector to extend the coiled tubing string into the wellbore, wherein the principal injector is determined based at least in part on a wellbore pressure. The method may further include performing a wellbore operation with the coiled tubing string, wherein the wellbore operation does not utilize a riser.

A section milling system may include an anchor secured to a downhole end of a coiled tubing. The anchor is configured to expand radially outward to set the anchor at a desired downhole position and restrain rotation of the coiled tubing. The section milling system also includes a reamer positioned downhole from the anchor. The reamer having extendable cutting arms configured to extend in response to fluid flowing through the reamer. Additionally, the section milling system includes a motor configured to rotate in response to fluid flowing through the motor, and rotation of the motor is configured to drive rotation of the cutting arms of the reamer to mill wellbore casing positioned adjacent the reamer. The section milling system further includes an actuation feature configured to move the reamer to mill along a wellbore in the uphole direction.

Method and apparatus to perform section milling

A system for controlling pressure applied in a well intervention operation using a physics-based model is provided. The system can include a stripper element that includes a pressure retention element for sealing a wellbore during an intervention operation that uses coiled tubing; a stripper circuit that includes a hydraulic actuator to apply a pressure to the pressure retention element; a processing device coupled to the hydraulic actuator that can receive, from the stripper circuit, a feedback signal. The processing device may receive a physical characteristic of a component and then determine, using data from the feedback signal and the physical characteristic, a minimum pressure level to contain wellhead pressure. The processing device may then output a command to cause the hydraulic actuator to change the pressure on the pressure retention element to be the minimum pressure level or within a pre-set deviation of the minimum pressure level.

A system for deploying downhole components includes a housing apparatus comprising a tool chamber configured to house a plurality of downhole tools and a conveyance configured to run the housing apparatus along the wellbore. The housing apparatus is secured to an end of the conveyance. The system for deploying downhole components also includes an actuation mechanism configured to selectively eject individual downhole tools of the plurality of downhole tools from the housing apparatus at respective locations in the wellbore.

A method may include: introducing a treatment fluid into a subterranean formation, the treatment fluid comprising: an aqueous brine; and a hydrolysable resin precursor; allowing the hydrolysable resin precursor to hydrolyze in the subterranean formation to form at least a polymerizable resin precursor monomer; and allowing the polymerizable resin precursor monomer to polymerize to form a polymerized resin in the subterranean formation.

Compositions and methods for deep penetration treatments of fines migration and sand control in clay-laden formations

A pivoting guide arch is provided. The guide arch includes a guide having a curved portion to receive a coiled tube and to guide the tube as the tube traverses between a reel and a wellbore. The guide arch also includes a support structure extending from a first end of the guide that is configured to mechanically support the guide, and a swivel mount that is rotatably coupled to a wellhead to enable the guide and support structure to pivot about an axis of the wellhead.

A positive displacement motor (PDM) is provided comprising an outer housing, a thermoplastic stator and a rotor. The PDM may additionally include a mechanism that allows the stator to be removable from the PDM when the PDM is not in operation and resists rotational movement of the stator with reference to a longitudinal axis of the stator and axial movement of the stator along the longitudinal axis of the stator when the PDM is operating, and a rotor disposed within the stator and configured to rotate within the stator when a fluid flows through the stator.
