An RFID system for determining the location of a vehicle or mobile object that passes thereover is presented. The system comprises a tag arrangement having at least one tag where the arrangement having a width of between approximately 0.5 m and 2 m.

Localisation of vehicle or mobile objects based on embedded RFID tags

An RFID based monitoring system and method is provided. A tag module is allocated to an item to be traced, which is operable by an RFID reader. In the system, the tag module is accessed through conductive coupling with an entry point that is operable in an RF field of the RFID reader.

RFID based monitoring system and method

A method for detecting portable objects from a network of N antennae controlled by a centralized management unit. Signals are simultaneously emitted by the management unit to all antennae. Resulting response signals from antennae that have detected a portable object are received by the management unit. Each object thus detected is successively selected from these signals according to a pre-established sequence. The invention applies in particular to access control.

Antenna arrangement in a metallic environment

A shielded magnetic-field antenna has at least one turn of a metallic element and metallic tubular shielding positioned around the element. The turn (,) is produced in a printed circuit on a card made of insulating material (,). The shielding has two open rings (,) each produced in a printed circuit and disposed respectively on a bottom card (,) and a top card (,) made of insulating material. The cards are assembled by gripping the turn between the top and bottom cards. A plurality of metallic vias (,) connect side edges of the two rings.
