A seating system for a vehicle, comprising, from the front to the rear of the vehicle: a first seat, a second seat, a third seat, the first seat, second seat, and third seat being located one behind the other in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle, the second seat being provided with a mechanism configured to cause, at least in an easy entry mode, the transition of the second seat from a position of use to an advanced position of non-use configured to facilitate lateral access to the third seat in the third row, and wherein a control device configured to limit automatically the amplitude of the kinematics of the mechanism, by the detection of an indirect contact between the second seat and the first seat, when the mechanism of the second seat is operated, in easy entry mode, from the position of use to the advanced position of non-use.

A mounting system for a headrest comprising at least one shaft, the system comprising a housing adapted to enclose the shaft with a radial clearance, a moving carriage capable of being moved between a blocking position and an unblocking position, and a jaw movable between an immobilization position and a release position. The jaw is adapted to apply, when it is in the immobilization position, a clamping force to the shaft in a clamping direction perpendicular to the vertical direction, so that the shaft is supported on the housing. A vehicle seat comprising a seat back pivotally mounted on a seat proper to pivot about a transverse horizontal axis of rotation, the seat proper having a rigid framework which carries flexible padding and on which a support member is movably mounted to move vertically, the support member being adapted to form an abutment preventing the user of the seat from plunging into the padding downwards and forwards when the seat is subjected to high forward deceleration. The seat further comprises a coupling device connected to the support member and adapted to raise said support member when the seat back pivots backwards, and to lower the support member when the seat back pivots forwards.

A vehicle seat headrest includes a pad that has a generally horizontal main body portion that overlies the top of a backrest and a lip portion that overlies an upper forward portion of the backrest. The headrest includes a resilient curved frame plate that follows a confronting profile of the backrest and serves as a rear support for the main body portion and lip portion of the pad. The headrest further includes pins with upper ends secured within the plate and lower ends slidingly received within the backrest.

A motor vehicle seat has a seat proper mounted on two longitudinal slideways via two sideplates. A seatbelt catch is fixed to a cable, itself connected to a pretensioner fixed along one of the sideplates. The sideplate has a passage through which the rear portion of the pretensioner passes, allowing the front portion of the pretensioner to be situated on the inside of said sideplate.

A securement system is provided for vehicle seats. A seat part has, on each side, a journal that is engaged in a mounting connected to the vehicle structure. The journal is secured in a throat formed in the mounting by a locking part surrounding the journal and serving as its bearing. The locking part has a locking portion that engages retaining means provided on the sides of the throat. The locking portion is elastically deformable to permit its insertion when mounted on the journal, into the throat and in a direction perpendicular to the axis of the journal.

The system for locking a movable element of a seat to a stationary element comprises a wall of a first one of said elements which is provided with a window into which a hook connected to the other element penetrates following an insertion direction substantially perpendicular to the wall and a resiliently retractable interlocking member constituted by a ring made of a wire of a material resistant to shearing. A shiftable part of the ring extends in contact with the wall across the window. The ring comprises two ends spaced apart from the shiftable part and oriented in a same axial direction perpendicular to the wall and around which the ring can be pivoted, the ends being offset one with respect to the other and the axes of the ends being maintained in a common plane which is stationary with respect to the support. The shiftable part is able to shift by an elastic deformation of the wire in a direction parallel to the wall and cooperates with the hook to provide reliable interlocking.
