The invention concerns a smart card comprising a card body provided with a cavity in which an electronic module incorporating a microelectronic chip is inserted, and at least one security marking designed to authenticate a component of the smart card. A first security marking is disposed on the microelectronic module, and a second security marking is disposed on the card body. The two security markings are linked by a visual identity or matching relationship indicating that the microelectronic module and the card body are original components assembled when the smart card was manufactured.

A communication interface between a smart card to be connected to a smart card connector of a communication mobile substrate, and a wireless communication network, is disclosed. An antenna is offset and/or can be offset outside the structure of the communication mobile substrate, so that the smart card can communicate directly with a contactless communication network without using the communication mobile substrate.

Radiofrequency local communication interface between a mobile phone and a contactless reader

A contactless smart card imbedded in a communication mobile substrate connected to a wireless communication network, and a contactless smart card reader in the vicinity of the communication mobile substrate for radiofrequency communication with the contactless smart card, are disclosed. On one hand, a first antenna is provided on the contactless smart card imbedded in the communication mobile substrate and, on the other hand, a second antenna is attached to the communication mobile substrate and connected by inductive coupling to the first antenna, so that the contactless smart card can directly communicate by radiofrequency with the contactless smart card reader without using the wireless communication network.

The invention relates to a chip card with a dual contact and contactless communication interface, including a microelectronic module () and a card body () provided with a cavity () which can receive the microelectronic module, said microelectronic module () being formed by a substrate (), the first face thereof bearing a terminal block of electric contacts () and a second face thereof bearing a first microelectronic chip () electrically connected to the terminal block of electric contacts () and a second chip () electrically connected to the terminals of an antenna (), the coils of which are disposed on the second face of the substrate of the electronic module. Chip card with dual communication interface

The invention concerns a method for making smart cards capable of operating with or without contact called mixed cards and contactless smart cards. In order to avoid the risk of deteriorating the antenna the method consists in producing an antenna comprising at least two turns, on a support sheet, said antenna having its turns located outside the connecting pads, and in providing an insulating bridge so as to connect each of the antenna ends to a connection pad respectively.

A contactless transponder includes an antenna made from a conductive material that is disposed on a surface of a substrate. An integrated circuit chip having electrical contacts is mounted on a surface of the antenna that is remote from the substrate. The contacts of the chip are embedded in the material of the antenna, and at least a portion of the chip protrudes above the surface of the plane defined by the remote surface of the antenna.

Contactless transponder

An adapter electrically connects an integrated circuit mini-card in a main electronic integrated circuit memory card connector having greater space requirement than the mini-card. The mini-card has surface contact strips and the adapter includes a main body capable of being connected to the main connector and a housing for receiving the mini-card at the surface of the main body. The housing includes inside bond pads for connection to the electric contacts of the mini-card. A mobile cover is capable of taking up a position wherein it closes at least partly the housing while maintaining the mini-card in electrically connecting position in the housing and stiffening the structure of the adapter.

An adapter for a portable integrated circuit device of the chip card variety has a reduced format in comparison with the standard mini-card format. The device with a reduced format includes a body on which a microcircuit defining contact pads is disposed. A support which has a standard mini-card format is provided with a cavity having the dimensions of the device with a reduced format. The device is detachably fixed in the cavity. The cavity is located in the support in such a way that the location of the contact pads of the microcircuit of the device with a reduced format coincides with the standardization location of the contact pads of a microcircuit having a standard format mini-card.

Adapter for a chip card having a reduced format in comparison with the standard SIM mini-card format

The invention concerns an electronic device such as a smart card which includes at least a microcircuit embedded in a carrier medium and which includes exit hubs linked to interface elements composed of a terminal block and/or an antenna. The connections between the exit hubs and the interface elements are made by depositing a low-viscosity conducting substance which remains flexible after its application, using a syringe or similar device. Preferably, a polymer resin charged with conducting or intrinsically conducting particles is used for the connections.

Smart card or similar electronic device

The invention concerns an electronic module that is designed to be fixed in an electronic device in the form of a card. The module includes a medium having at least a surface provided with contact pads and a microcircuit which is fixed on the medium and has exit hubs each connected to a medium contact pad. The connections between the exit hubs and the contact pads consist of a cord made of an adhesive conductive substance which conforms to the profile of the medium. Preferably, the conductive substance is a conductive isotropic adhesive.

Electronic module for chip card

A method for making an electronic device having an integrated circuit chip connected to an antenna. A chip is transferred into an impression provided in a substrate made of insulating material. The chip is connected to an antenna by hot lamination of an insulating support-sheet bearing the antenna. The method ensures a high quality electrical connection between the chip and the antenna, and enables the connection of a chip matrix with a plurality of antennae in a large-size circuit to be produced in one single step.
