A rotary airless compact including facing concentric arcuate inner and annular outer walls which are manually rotatable relative to each other, and a flexible tube extending between the walls and secured to the inner wall. The outer wall has radial ribs projecting inwardly to crimp the tube at spaced locations against the inner wall, providing successive seals between which the tube has internally open regions for holding fluid product. As the outer wall rotates relative to the inner wall in a direction from a first to a second end of the tube, product is drawn from a supply pouch at the first end into successive open regions of the tube in discrete quantities separated by the seals, and the ribs advance the seals and open regions to the second end, where a nozzle or other dispensing element discharges the quantities of product into a pan area of the compact.

Rotary airless compact

A cosmetic container for housing a cosmetic product applicator is presented. The cosmetic container comprises: a cosmetic product applicator; a tubular housing comprising first and second portions; and a platform positioned within the tubular housing and connected to the first portion of the housing, the platform being adapted to receive the cosmetic product applicator inserted into the tubular housing. The first portion of the housing is rotatable relative to the second portion of the housing about an axis of rotation so as to move the platform between a first position, in which substantially the entire length of the cosmetic product applicator is situated within the tubular housing so as to prevent its removal from the housing, and a second position, in which a portion of the cosmetic applicator projects outwardly from the tubular housing so as to permit its removal from the housing.

Cosmetic container

A cosmetic compact () comprises a container () to hold liquid cosmetics, and a stopper () for to the compact (). The stopper comprises a protrusion () that cooperates with a dispensing orifice () of the container. The stopper is connected by a hinge () to a lid () or base () of the compact, preferably to the lid. The stopper may thus serve as a latch for the lid of the compact. The hinged connection () may be a web integrally formed with the stopper and the adjacent part of the compact, or it may comprise a pin or protrusion.

Compact for liquid cosmetics

There is provided a make-up kit having a plurality of containers having top surfaces made up of different integer numbers of substantially identically shaped units and bottom surfaces made up of corresponding numbers of substantially identically shaped units, peripheral areas of the top surface units being of complementary shape to peripheral areas of the bottom surface units, so that each container is separably interengageable with at least one other of the containers above or below, by interengagement of the complementary shaped unit peripheral areas. In this way, large or small numbers of identical or different units may be connected together in a large number of different configurations; each differently shaped container effectively forming a differently shaped, but mutually compatible, building block.

Make-up kit

A case for cosmetic material and/or articles comprising a base, a lid, and a separate hinge member pivotally connecting the lid to the base. The hinge member defines a first hinge axis X-X with the base and a second hinge axis Y-Y (into the page) with the lid, wherein the first hinge axis is substantially perpendicular to the second hinge axis, and wherein the first hinge axis is offset from the second hinge axis.
