A baler for forming a pressed bale includes a baling chamber and a press mounted within the baling chamber. The press is operable in a bale formation cycle, where the bale formation cycle includes bale formation cycle parameters. A primary power source is operably coupled with the press to transmit a power to the press, and an auxiliary power source is coupled to the press. The auxiliary power source is operable in a power transmitting mode to transmit an auxiliary power to the press. A controller is electrically coupled to the auxiliary power source such that the controller is configured for controlling operation of the auxiliary power source. The operation of the auxiliary power source is operably controlled manually or by the controller according to the bale formation cycle parameters.

Round baler

An agricultural round baler is described. The agricultural round baler comprises a holding and supplying device for crops, a pressing chamber with pressing elements for pressing the crops, and a wrapping or binding device for the wrapping or binding of a pressed round bale. In order to design a round bale production which is, as a whole, more productive, the proposal is made that it be possible for at least the pressing elements to be operated, during a wrapping or binding operation following a pressing operation, at a higher running speed than the speed during the pressing operation.

Agricultural baler and method

A wide pick-up for a baler includes a crop feed rotor and auger arrangement located at an elevated position rearward of a tined pick-up reel arrangement. Positioned for receiving crop delivered by the reel arrangement, and extending beneath the crop feed rotor and auger arrangement is a crop guide plate arrangement including a central movable crop guide plate portion mounted to be moved vertically between a raised feed position, wherein it is relatively close to a circular path traced by the outer peripheries of the crop feed rotor and the converging augers, and a lowered, crop unplugging position, wherein it is spaced to create a gap between the crop guide plate portion and the crop feed rotor and auger arrangement. Right and left, primary crop stripper plates are respectively mounted to right and left front end regions of the moveable crop feed plate portion, with the primary stripper plates each having an edge located close to the associated auger for preventing crop from being wrapped about the augers when the movable crop guide plate portion is in its normal raised operating position. Right and left secondary crop stripper plates are respectively mounted to right and left fixed walls extending upwardly about the augers from right and left fixed guide plate portions, these secondary stripper plates remaining in place to strip crop from the augers when the central movable crop guide plate portion is lowered.

A pressurized-medium-driven apparatus including an actuator articulately mounted a line segment and a connecting element. The line segment and the connecting element are connected so as to be mutually pivotable with respect to each other around a swing axis. The connection is provided by a junction means between the line segment and the connecting element, wherewith the connecting element and or the line segment are rigid components, preferably a rigid tube or pipe. The junction means is a swiveling junction connection.

Apparatus driven by a pressurized medium

The invention concerns an arrangement for the securing of an implement to a lifting arm, particularly to a front loader, where the implement and the lifting arm can be fastened to each other by a movable locking bar, which can be moved between a locking position and an unlocking position, and can be brought from the locking position into the unlocking position by a remotely actuated hydraulic cylinder. It is proposed that the locking bar can be arrested automatically in the unlocking position, with it then being possible for the hydraulic cylinder to be deactivated. The locking bar is located such that it can be brought into the locking position from its arrested position by moving the implement by another remotely actuated hydraulic cylinder such that the locking bar engages the lifting arm and is moved to a non-arrested position from where it is automatically biased back into its locking position. Furthermore, it is proposed that the hydraulic actuator for effecting movement of the locking bar be connected with an accumulator.

Arrangement for securing an implement to a lifting arm

A tractor-mounted front end loader includes lift boom having a tool, disclosed as a bucket, pivotally mounted to one end of the boom for selected movement by one or more hydraulic adjustment cylinders. A safety valve is associated with one of the pressure chambers of each adjustment cylinder to prevent unintended lowering of the tool in the event a supply-return hose extending between a direction control valve and the adjustment cylinder should rupture. Also connected to this pressure chamber of each adjustment cylinder is an accumulator for providing a damping action. The connection between the pressure chamber and the accumulator is made by rigid tubing, and in one disclosed embodiment, includes a remotely operable on/off valve for selectively coupling the accumulator to the pressure chamber.
