The invention relates to a new polyisocyanate composition for producing coatings, said composition comprising at least one monophenol alkyl compound, a mixture of phosphite compounds for preventing yellowing and/or precipitation of the composition, and optionally, a catalyst.

The invention relates to a modified allophanate compound bearing acrylate functions, resulting from the reaction of a particular allophanate with an ester from the reaction between an acid selected from acrylic acid and methacrylic acid and at least one polyol that does not contain an oxylakylene or aa (poly)oxyalkylene group. The invention further relates to the use of said modified allophanate for preparing a hydrophobic cross-linkable coating composition by means of UV radiation.

The mixture of the invention comprises at least one cycloaliphatic polyisocyanate and at least one solvent comprising an ester function and an ether function. An aqueous emulsion can be obtained from this mixture which also comprises a compound bearing a function with a mobile hydrogen, selected from primary or secondary hydroxyl functions, phenol functions, primary and/or secondary amino functions, carboxylic functions and a thiol function or a compound containing precursor functions capable of freeing hydroxyl functions. The invention concerns a method for treating textile materials providing said textile materials with a soft feel, absence of yellowing and good hydrophily, which consists of contacting the textile materials with a composition comprising at least a linear, cyclic or three-dimensional polyorganosiloxane of formula (I), wherein: the symbols Z, identical or different, represent R1, and/or V; and the symbols V represent a group of sterically hindered piperidinyl function(s).

Treating textile materials with polyorganosiloxanes

Disclosed are personal care or cosmetic compositions comprising a dicarboxy functionalized polyorganosiloxane and methods for the cleaning or the treatment of hair or skin and for enhancing delivery of active agents to hair or skin with the compositions. Said personal care or cosmetic compositions can be formulated in a wide variety of types of products for the skin and/or hair (or, more generally, keratin) such as mousses, gels (in particular hair dressing gels), conditioners, hair dressing formulations or to aid comb-through of hair, rinsing formulae, hand and body lotions, skin moisturizing products, skin cleansing or disinfecting compositions, shower gels, toilet milks, cream foundations, make-up removal compositions, sun and ultraviolet radiation protection lotions, creams or gels, skin care creams, anti-age preparations, anti-acne preparations, local analgesics, mascaras, deodorants, antiperspirants, lipsticks and other compositions of the same type. The use of dicarboxy functionalized polyorganosiloxanes permits to confer benefits such as an increase in shine, gloss or volume of hair, easier comb-through of hair, easier spreadability or slipperiness onto skin; it also permits a better persistence of active materials or benefits agents deposited onto the surface and consequently permits to maintain the activity of the composition deposited on the surface over time. The dicarboxy functionalized polyorganosiloxane can be used in an amount of from about 0.1% to about 30%, preferably from about 3% to about 10% by weight, of said personal care or cosmetic compositions.

Personal care compositions comprising a dicarboxy functionalized polyorganosiloxane

Disclosed are compositions and methods for treating and modifying surfaces and for enhancing delivery of active agents to surfaces treated with the compositions, which comprise siloxane polymers functionalized with pendant moieties comprising anionic groups, specifically carboxylic acid groups. When applied to a suitable surface, the present composition comprising the carboxy functionalized siloxane polymers forms a substantially hydrophobic coating on the treated surface. These polymers effectively deposit on surfaces that have cationic sites, which are capable of forming bonds or linkages with the anionic groups of the polymer. The treated surface becomes hydrophobic due to the deposition of the carboxy functionalized siloxane polymer, which then imparts a variety of end use benefits to that surface such as ease of cleaning, stain removal and prevention, whitening, etc. The carboxy functionalized siloxane polymer further acts as a carrier to deposit active agents onto the surface and to improve retention and efficacy of said actives on the treated surface. The present compositions are useful in a variety of applications including oral care, hair and skin care, personal care, cosmetics, and fabric and hard surface cleaning and conditioning. Examples are oral compositions for use in cleaning and whitening of natural teeth and dental prosthesis; for preventing, reducing or removing plaque, calculus and surface deposited stains on teeth; and for providing shine, smoothness and positive feel benefits to teeth, the compositions comprising at least about 0.1% by weight of a dicarboxy functionalized siloxane polymer in a formulation that effectively deposits the polymer to teeth and other oral surfaces.

Oral care compositions comprising dicarboxy functionalized polyorganosiloxanes

The invention concerns a lubricating organo-functional silicone oil, whether or not in emulsion. The invention aims at improving oils and lubricating silicone emulsions, in terms of emulsion stability, transfer and flow of the oil in emulsion on metal surfaces, of stripping lubricating power, non-clogging of molds and paintability of molded metal articles when used for stripping. In order to achieve said aim, the inventive POS oil is functionalized with the lubricating organophilic radical W (C12-C20 alkyl) and with a radical bearing one or several adhering functions such as diacid, thiol, phosphonate, sulphonate hydroxy, hydroxyamine, amine, ether, amide and their combinations. The invention also concerns emulsions whether or not containing additives, based on said WY functionalized POS oils, the preparation of said oils and said emulsions and their uses when stripping metal articles molded in metal moulds.

Lubricating polyorganosiloxane oil, aqueous emulsion containing same, preparation and use thereof for stripping metals

Disclosed are home care compositions comprising a dicarboxy functionalized polyorganosiloxane and methods for treating and modifying surfaces and for enhancing delivery of active agents to surfaces treated with the compositions. Said home care compositions can be used particularly for cleaning, rinsing, care or treatment of industrial, domestic or communal hard surfaces, as well as textile article surfaces; they are targeted at conferring on the surfaces treated therewith benefits such as water repellency, soil release, stain resistance, anti-fogging, surface repair, anti-wrinkling, shine, lubrication and/or at improving the residuality, impact and or efficacy of active materials comprised in said compositions. The dicarboxy functionalized polyorganosiloxane can be present in the home care compositions at a concentration of from about 0.005% to 10% by weight, preferably from about 0.05% to 5% by weight.
