In a height-adjustable arrangement of a head restraint on a vehicle seat, the head restraint or at least one cushion of the head restraint is fastened by a receiving plate fixed on a framework to a receiving slide of a height-adjustment mechanism. The receiving slide is arranged in a height-displaceable manner on at least one guide element of the height-adjustment mechanism by at least two actuating pulls acting in an opposed manner on the receiving slide, the guide element being arranged in or on a holding element of the head restraint. A vehicle seat can include a height-adjustable head restraint.

A headrest and a method for manufacturing a headrest are proposed, wherein the headrest is provided, in particular, as a motor vehicle headrest, wherein the headrest has a cover and a foamed material, wherein the foamed material fills the cover at least in certain areas, wherein the headrest is manufactured in such a way that the foamed material is at least partially liquid at the time when the foamed material is introduced into the cover, wherein the cover has at least one closure element, wherein an opening in the cover which is present before the foamed material is introduced can be closed off by means of the closure element.

A cushioning element, such as for a vehicle occupant protection device, comprises a cover, a filling material and at least one textile sheet. The textile sheet is foam-encapsulated in addition to the cover. Opening of the cover takes place reliably and reproducibly when an inflatable occupant protection device is activated. The textile sheet influences the opening of the cover when the inflatable device is activated.
