A fire extinguishing device comprises an extinguishing agent tank and pressurised gas generation means such that the generated gas can enter into the tank when the extinguishing agent is to be ejected on a fire area. The device according to the invention also comprises means of regulating the pressure inside the extinguishing agent tank: thus, the pressure inside the tank remains controlled with time, with a profile predetermined by the user as a function of regulatory parameters and criteria, in order to optimise the action of the extinguishing agent and the necessary quantity.

An apparatus for detecting a hazardous condition includes an optical module for measuring scattered light caused by the hazardous condition, a temperature sensor, a humidity sensor, and a processing unit coupled to receive signals from the optical module, the temperature sensor and the humidity sensor. The processing unit processes the signals to determine criteria to distinguish deceptive phenomena from a hazardous condition in order to limit false alarms. The processing unit uses the criteria for adjusting an alarm threshold value that is a function of a reference function, a function based on temperature criteria, a function based on at least one of the temperature criteria and a ratio criterion, and a function based on humidity criteria.

Fire or smoke detector with high false alarm rejection performance

The invention relates to a device for monitoring the oxygen concentration in an aircraft tank. The device includes an absorption measuring section equipped with a laser or laser diode (), a photodiode (), a temperature sensor () and a reflector () for carrying out laser spectroscopy on a gas volume to be measured inside the tank. The conducting components of the device are positioned outside the tank and its reflector () is positioned in the tank in the gas volume to be measured, the components and reflector being optically coupled by a window () that is situated in the tank wall (). The absorption measuring section is mainly located in the chamber containing the gas to be measured.

Device and method for monitoring the oxygen concentration in an aircraft tank

A system for detecting fire or overheating includes a sensor including at least one material having a resistance with a selected temperature coefficient, wherein the resistance of the material is indicative of a temperature. The system includes further a device connected to the sensor to perform measurements on the material, wherein the device is configured to determine at least one parameter from the measurements and to analyze a dynamic behaviour of the at least one parameter to deduce status information including overheating and malfunction of the sensor.
