Carton with an end aperture

A carton and a blank for forming a carton including a tray portion with an open top and a cover connected to the tray portion to close the top of the tray portion. The tray portion has a pair of opposed end walls each having a hand aperture, and the cover has a pair of end flaps disposed internally of the end walls of the tray portion. Another aspect of the invention also covers a package including a carton referred to above and a collapsible carrier retained within the carton.

An article carrier and a blank for forming an article carrier, for holding one or more articles, for example foodstuff or the like, including a base panel, a pair of outwardly sloping side wall panels hingedly connected to the base panel and one or more inwardly sloping end wall panels hingedly connected to the base panel.

A wraparound carton comprises wall panels hingedly interconnected in series, wherein the wall panels include a pair of base wall panels at the opposite end of the blank. Carton for bottles

A tray and a blank for forming a tray for holding foodstuff or the like which tray is formed from paperboard or like foldable sheet material and can be erected from a flat collapsed condition into a position of use. The tray comprises a plurality of panels for forming a base, opposed side and end walls wherein the panels forming the tray are a composite structure comprising inner and outer panels forming the base, side and end walls. The insert is retained in the tray by means of a securing tab formed from the tray and engaged by an upper edge of the insert.

An article carrier and a blank for forming an article carrier for carrying one or more articles comprising a plurality of panels for forming the opposed sides and ends of the article carrier including a pair of laterally spaced top wall panels hingedly connected to the opposed side walls. A carrying handle is hinged to the top wall panels. The handle is movable between a retracted position when the handle does not extend above the top of the articles and a deployed position whereby the handle protrudes above the article tops.

A carton blank (10) comprises hingably interconnected main panels (12,30,32,34) and a corner gusset structure (50,51) section hingably connected to two adjacent main panels (12,30). One of the main panels (12) has a fold line (20) which lies substantially parallel to the hinged connection (22) between the adjacent two panels. The fold line defines two panel portions (12,12a) in the main panel (12) which can be displaced from coplanar alignment with one another about the fold line (20) during formation of a carton in order to facilitate formation of the corner gusset structure.

A grouping mechanism (14) for grouping articles (B) in a continuous infeed stream comprises a series of spacer elements (16) adapted to engage successive articles from the infeed stream and locate the articles relative to one another as the articles are conveyed through a working reach (W) of the mechanism. The spacer elements have cam followers 18 for co-operating with a rotatable cylindrical cam which cause one group of articles to be spaced apart in the feed direction from a next succeeding group of articles while the spacer elements move through the working reach. A return transfer belt (40) is provided to return the spacer elements along a return reach (R) such that they are returned upstream of the working reach where they are disposed for engagement with successive articles in the infeed stream.
