The invention relates to a skin care pad comprising exfoliating elements () which are distributed between at least one first fibrous layer () and a second fibrous layer (), said second layer having a lower basis weight than the first fibrous layer. In this way, the inventive pad can be used daily, in order to exfoliate and massage the skin and to remove make-up.

The invention relates to a process of hydroentangling a fibrous web (N) including of positioning the web on a porous moving support () in translatory movement or in rotation about an axis, and of treating at least one side of the web by means of a plurality of streams of water arranged in a row perpendicular to the direction of movement of the web, characterized in that the row includes streams with a first cross-section (A) and at least streams with a second cross-section (A) different from the first. The invention relates to a skin care article exhibiting a scrub cleaning effect by friction and comprising at least one first and one second external layer made of a fibrous material. The inventive article is characterized in that the first layer (&#x2033;) forms an absorbing cushion and substantially consists of low-micronaire cellulose fibers, in particular less than 8, and the second layer (&#x2033;) is substentially consists of high-micronaire fibers, in particular of micronaire higher than 8, said layers being selected from the following materials: flax, ramie, sisal, jute and hemp separate or mixed.

Skin care article

The invention relates to a hydrophilic cotton pad for skin-care exhibiting a specific surface weight of at least 150 g/m, and having two different outer sides of which the fibers are entangled. In the invention, the first outer side has hollow striae apart by a spacing sbetween 1 and 8 mm and having a depth d of at least 0.25 mm and wherein at least 50% of the fibers are entangled. The pad of the invention is used to apply skin-care products, such as cosmetics, to the skin.
