Methods and devices for detecting, in a scene, a first type reflector is provided. The method includes identifying, using a radar in a mobile system, a zone of a distance-radial velocity space that contains a second type reflector. The second type reflector is capable of concealing the first type reflector. The method includes modeling an order two phase shift over time of theoretical first type and second type reflectors. The method includes creating a filter a distance and a radial velocity. The method includes illuminating the scene. The method includes acquiring raw radar data from the echoes reflected by the reflectors of the scene. The method includes obtaining distance profiles.
