A method is provided, including: executing a first session of a video game by a cloud gaming system, wherein executing the first session generates a first game state of the video game for gameplay of the video game by a first user; streaming the gameplay of the video game over a network to enable the gameplay of the video game by the first user; receiving, during said gameplay, a command to share an interactive playable portion of the gameplay of the video game by the first user; responsive to the command, providing to a second user access to the interactive playable portion of the video game, through execution of a second session of the video game that generates a second game state of the video game for gameplay of the interactive playable portion by the second user.

A method for sharing gameplay of a video game, including: executing the video game by a server of a cloud gaming system, wherein executing the video game includes generating a first game state of the video game for said gameplay of the video game by a first user; streaming the gameplay over a network during said execution of the video game to enable the gameplay by the first user; receiving, during said gameplay, a command to share an interactive playable portion of the gameplay by the first user; responsive to the command, providing to a second user access to the interactive playable portion of the video game through a website interface, wherein the gameplay of the interactive playable portion by the second user generates a second game state of the video game that is generated during a different session from the generation of the first game state.

A controller device for user interactivity with a server of a cloud gaming system is provided, including the following: at least one input device that generates inputs for the server; wherein the controller device communicates directly to an access device for connection to a network that connects the controller device to the server without connecting to a client device; wherein the server receives and processes the inputs to render gameplay video that is transmitted over the network for rendering to a display device that is local to the controller device.

Sharing gameplay in cloud gaming environments

A method for sharing a gameplay experience is provided, including: executing a video game by a cloud gaming system, wherein executing the video game includes processing a game state of the video game to provide gameplay of the video game; streaming the gameplay of the video game over a network, the gameplay of the video game being defined for a first user; receiving a command to share an interactive playable portion from the gameplay of the video game; responsive to the command, sharing the interactive playable portion of the video game through a social interface, the social interface enabling access for gameplay of the interactive playable portion by a second user.

A method, including: executing, by a cloud gaming system, a session of a video game; recording the user's gameplay of the video game; analyzing the user's recorded gameplay to determine a region of interest, the region of interest being a region of the video game having social network sharing levels that exceed a predefined threshold; during the session of the video game, receiving a request from the client device, the request being initiated from a button of a controller device interfaced to the client device; responsive to the request, presenting, through the client device, the region of interest; generating, by the cloud gaming system, a gameplay video of the video game based on the region of interest; sharing the gameplay video of the video game over the social network to one or more additional client devices for viewing by one or more additional users.

A method is provided, including: receiving a request to initiate a session of a cloud application for a first user; executing, by a cloud server computer, the first user's session of the cloud application to generate video content; streaming the video content to the first client device for rendering to a first display device; receiving a request from a second client device associated with a remote second user to view the video content; streaming the video content over the network to the second client device; processing a request to transition control of the first user's session to the second user; initiating control of the first user's session by the second user, wherein initiating control by the second user includes deactivating control by the first client device and activating control by the second client device.

A method for generating a gameplay video of a video game is provided. The method initiates with recording a user's gameplay of the video game. The user's recorded gameplay is analyzed to determine a region of interest, the region of interest being a region of the video game having social network sharing levels that exceed a predefined threshold. Boundaries are defined within a gameplay context of the video game based on the determined region of interest that define options for selection of a beginning and an end for the gameplay video. The gameplay video of the video game is generated based on the selection defined from the boundaries. The gameplay video of the video game is shared over the social network to one or more additional client devices for viewing by one or more additional users.

A method for sharing recorded gameplay of a video game to a social graph, including the following: recording, by a game console, video of a user's gameplay during a gameplay session that is defined by execution of the video game by the game console; receiving, by the game console, a command to initiate a sharing operation during the gameplay session, wherein receiving the command to initiate the sharing operation is in response to button input triggered from a controller device; in response to receiving the command, presenting, by the game console, a user interface configured to enable identification and sharing of at least a portion of the recorded video; processing, by the game console, input received via the user interface to determine a user-defined selection of the recorded video; sharing the user-defined selection of the recorded video to a social graph of the user.

A method for providing remote control of a user's gameplay is provided. A live video feed of a first user's gameplay is presented to a remote second user. A request to transition control of the first user's gameplay to the second user is processed. Control of the first user's gameplay by the second user is initiated.

A method for generating a playable limited version of a video game is provided. A user's gameplay of a full version of the video game is recorded. A plurality of user-defined portions of the user's recorded gameplay is determined. For each user-defined portion, boundaries within a gameplay context of the video game based on the user-defined portion, and a playable portion of the video game is generated based on the defined boundaries. Each of the playable portions of the video game is arranged in a series to define the limited version of the video game; wherein the method is executed by a processor.

A method for generating a playable limited version of a video game is provided. A user's gameplay of a full version of the video game is recorded. The user's recorded gameplay is analyzed to determine a region of interest. Boundaries are defined within a gameplay context of the video game based on the determined region of interest. The limited version of the video game is generated based on the defined boundaries.

Automatic generation of suggested mini-games for cloud-gaming based on recorded gameplay

A method for sharing recorded gameplay to a social graph is provided. Video of a user's gameplay is recorded during an active state of a gameplay session. A command is received to initiate a sharing operation during the active state of the gameplay session. In response to receiving the command, a paused state of the gameplay session is entered and a sharing interface is presented. Input received via the sharing interface is processed to determine a user-defined selection of the recorded video. The user-defined selection of the recorded video is shared to a social graph of the user, and the active state of the gameplay session is resumed.
