A method for producing a friction bearing or a part, particularly half thereof, is provided. While machining the entire width of an inner surface, both the radial extension and also the advance in the axial direction of at least one tool are changed during machining. A device for machining friction bearings or parts, particularly halves thereof, is also provided. The device has a spindle and at least one cutting tool, the radial extension and advance of which can be changed during machining. In a friction bearing or part, particularly a half thereof, slots or grooves are formed running in the peripheral direction. The depth and width of the grooves are designed to be larger in at least one axial edge area.

Method and device for producing a friction bearing or a part thereof

The invention relates to a plain bearing composite material with a supporting layer made of a copper alloy, and with a lining applied to the bearing metal layer. The copper alloy can contain 0.5-5% by weight of nickel, 0.2 to 2.5% by weight of silicon and=0.1% by weight of lead. The lining can be a sputtered layer that is applied without an intermediate layer. The invention also relates to methods for producing this composite material.

Plain bearing composite material, use thereof and production methods therefor

The invention relates to a slide bearing composite material which comprises a support layer from a copper alloy and a bearing coating applied to said support layer. The copper alloy may comprise 0.5 to 5% by weight of nickel, 0.2 to 2.5% by weight of silicon, &#x2266;0.1% by weight of lead. The bearing coating can be a galvanic layer, a sputter layer or a plastic layer. The invention also relates to methods of producing such a composite material.

Slide bearing composite material

The invention relates to a connecting rod-bearing combination comprising a bearing for a small connecting rod eye of a connecting rod which serves to receive a piston pin that supports a piston. The invention also relates to a method for producing a connecting rod-bearing combination of the aforementioned type. The aim of the invention is to be able to exert an influence on the connecting rod-piston combination whereby enabling a fine tuning of the oscillating masses. To this end, the invention provides a connecting rod-bearing combination, which is post-machined in the area of the small connecting rod eye during which material is removed form a mass that corresponds to the difference between the oscillating mass of the connecting rod-bearing combination and a stipulated oscillating mass. The method for producing the connecting rod-piston combination is characterized in that during the removal of material, it is determined how much material mass on the connecting rod-bearing combination is to be removed in order to obtain a stipulated connecting rod-piston combination of a specified mass and mass distribution. The connecting rod-bearing combination is subsequently post-machined in the area of the small connecting rod eye during which material is removed to the extent of the determined mass.

A piston pin bushing is described which has a sufficient lifespan at higher piston pressures. The piston pin bushing has in each transition region a perforation. The area of material reduction is limited to at least one transition region between the apex lines. The bushing material in this transition region is at least so reduced that in the inserted position a portion of the radial pressure of the piston pin bushing in the area of the apex lines is shifted from the middle to the area of both bushing ends.

Piston head

A bearing bush that can be installed without any auxiliary components and ensures a secure fit has a backing which comprises at least one layer, an overlay (,), on its inner surface and at least one flange (,) in the form of a circumferential closed bead provided at a distance from the bush ends. The bearing bush is suitable, inter alia, for flexible joints and pedal bearing systems. The method of producing such a bush takes as its starting point a prefabricated bearing bush (,), the inner surface of the backing (,) of which is exposed in at least one area (,) spaced from the bush ends. An internal mandrel is inserted into the bearing bush (,) and the bearing bush is held around its outer surface, at least one gap (,) being left opposite to the exposed area (,). The bearing bush is then compressed in the axial direction, the material is thereby displaced into the gap (,) to form the flange (,).

A bearing bush (1) having a groove (7) which has a curved contour and is located inside an annular bead (2) projecting outwards with respect to the bush body (6). A sealing member in the form of an o-ring (4) may be inserted into the groove (7). The bead for accommodating the sealing member is produced by an upsetting process.
