In a cooling and compressing process, a wet feed gas () that is rich in carbon dioxide is scrubbed with water and with an antifreeze agent in a column () in order to produce a flow of gas that is rich in carbon dioxide, water-depleted and cooled, the flow of gas rich in carbon dioxide is compressed in a compressor () and a liquid rich in carbon dioxide () is vaporized in order to cool the water and antifreeze agent before sending them to the scrubbing operation, it being possible for the liquid to originate from an external source.

The present invention relates to a process and to a unit for drying and compressing a CO2-rich stream. The CO2-rich fluid is compressed in a compressor; upstream of the compression step, an antifreeze is mixed with the CO2-rich fluid containing water; the CO2-rich fluid containing the antifreeze is cooled, water is separated from the cooled fluid and the water-depleted cooled fluid is compressed in the compressor; and the CO2-rich fluid containing water is sent to a scrubbing column fed with a water/antifreeze mixture, where it cools and is separated from the water.

The present invention relates to a method for producing hydrogen, with reduced carbon dioxide emissions, from a hydrocarbon mixture. In said method, the hydrocarbon mixture is reformed so as to produce a synthetic gas that is cooled, then treated in a shift reactor so as to be enriched with H2 and CO2.
