A method for deghosting marine seismic streamer data includes receiving the marine seismic data recorded from a single streamer. A representation of an upgoing wavefield in the marine seismic data is defined. The representation of the upgoing wavefield includes a first wave component in a plane and a second wave component that is perpendicular to the plane. A linear system is built that models a wavefield using the representation. The wavefield includes the upgoing wavefield and a downgoing ghost wavefield. The upgoing wavefield is estimated, within the representation, by inverting the linear system.

Single streamer deghosting with extended model space

A technique includes receiving seismic data indicative of measurements acquired by seismic sensors. The measurements are associated with a measurement noise. The technique includes estimating at least one characteristic of the measurement noise and deghosting the seismic data based at least in part on the estimated characteristic(s) of the measurement noise.

Deghosting and interpolating seismic data

Methods and systems for survey operations are provided. In some embodiments, crossline measurement data measured by at least one survey receiver is received. A technique includes obtaining particle motion data and pressure data that are acquired by seismic sensors while in tow. The sensors are part of a plurality of streamers, and the pressure and particle motion data contain surface ghosts. The technique includes processing the particle motion data and the pressure data to generate a data set that is indicative of a pressure wavefield at positions between the streamers and is substantially free of the surface ghosts.

Interpolating and deghosting multi-component seismic sensor data

In one implementation, the seismic data may be processed by creating a fictitious source-receiver line connecting a source with a receiver location of interest, projecting one or more receiver locations adjacent the receiver location of interest onto the fictitious source-receiver line and decomposing seismic data on the receiver locations disposed on the fictitious source-receiver line into up-going wavefields and down-going wavefields.
