A resealable container for consumer goods comprises: a package of consumer goods with a cover portion partially separable from the remainder of the package to provide an access opening; and a reclosable adhesive label overlying the cover portion. The label comprises at least a bottom layer and a top layer. The bottom layer comprises a cut-out portion extending at least about the periphery of the cover portion and is affixed to the package by means of a permanent adhesive provided on a first area of the inner surface of the bottom layer extending about the periphery of the cover portion. The top layer is at least partly permanently affixed to the package by means of a first adhesive provided on a back hinge area of the package, and at least partly releasably affixed to the bottom layer by means of a second adhesive provided on a peeling area of the inner surface of the top layer extending distal from the hinge area and at least over a region of the cover portion. Thus, the top layer is movable from a closed position, wherein the top layer overlies at least the cut-out portion of the bottom layer, and an open position, wherein the top layer is lifted off the bottom layer. In addition, a bottom layer height is less than a top layer height or a bottom layer width is less than a top layer width or both. Thus, the peeling area of the inner surface of the top layer extends at least partially beyond a periphery of the bottom layer to overlie the package.

Resealable container with improved reclosable adhesive label

Containers that include a housing that includes a box and a lid that is hingedly attached to the box. The container also includes an inner package disposed at least partially within the housing and at least partially defining an interior volume for housing consumer goods. The inner package includes a first layer and a second layer. The container also includes an insert positioned between the inner surface of the front wall of the box and the outer surface of the front wall of the inner package. The insert is positioned entirely below the sealing region and is positioned so that the lowest point of the upper edge of the box is lower than the highest point of the upper edge of the insert.

A package () of consumer goods has an opening for removing the goods and a reclosable adhesive label () occluding the opening. The label () comprises a bottom layer () and a top layer (). The bottom layer () is affixed to the package () by means of permanent adhesive provided on a first area () of the inner surface of the bottom layer extending about the periphery of the opening, the bottom layer comprising a cut-out portion () at least partly aligned with the opening of the package. The top layer () is at least partly affixed to the bottom layer () by permanent adhesive provided on a back hinge area () of the inner surface of the top layer, and at least partly releasably affixed to the bottom layer by means of a second adhesive provided on a peeling area () of the inner surface of the top layer extending distal from the hinge area (). Thus, the top layer () is movable from a closed position, wherein it overlies at least the access opening, and an open position, wherein it is lifted off the bottom layer () to reveal the cut-out portion (). The second adhesive is a permanent or semi-permanent adhesive and a layer of a release agent is provided between the bottom layer () and the top layer (). In the closed position, a front end portion of the peeling area () of the inner surface of the top layer () at least partially overlies the release agent.

Resealable container for consumer articles with improved moisture control

A hinge lid pack () of smoking articles comprising a bundle () of smoking articles having a plurality of faces wrapped in a wrapper () of flexible sheet material, a housing () comprising a pack body () and a pack lid () hinged to the pack body. Free edge margins of the generally inside surface of the wrapper are adhered together over a first (face) of the bundle to form a fin seal () that is adhered to the wrapper over a second face of the bundle.

Flat seal container

A slide and shell container includes an outer shell and an inner slide mounted within the outer shell. The outer shell and the inner slide are detachably connected to each other along one or more lines of weakness. Upon separation of the outer shell and inner slide along the one or more lines of weakness, the inner slide becomes moveable within the outer shell between a closed slide position and an open slide position. The two or more lines of weakness define an integral opening strip which is separable from the container in order to separate the outer shell and the inner slide.

A container comprises a box portion, a lid portion and a separate sliding device. The separate sliding device embraces at least part of the box portion. Moving the separate sliding device longitudinally along the box portion in a first direction pivots the lid portion to open the container and moving the separate sliding device longitudinally along the box portion in a second, opposite direction pivots the lid portion to close the container. The lid portion comprises a lid front wall.

A hinge-lid pack of smoking articles such as cigarettes comprises: a box portion; a lid portion hinged to the box portion; and at least two longitudinally offset tiers of smoking articles mounted in the box portion. Each of the at least two tiers comprises a separately wrapped bundle of smoking articles. In one embodiment, the smoking articles in each of the at least two tiers are of substantially the same length and the upper ends and the lower ends of the separately wrapped bundles of smoking articles are longitudinally offset relative to one another. In another embodiment, the smoking articles in each of the at least two tiers are of different length and the upper ends of the separately wrapped bundles of smoking articles are longitudinally offset relative to one another.

A method of producing a sealed bundle containing consumer articles such as smoking articles comprises the steps of wrapping a sealable material around an outer surface of a sleeve; at least partially sealing the sealable material while being wrapped around the sleeve at its bottom and along its length; pushing a group of smoking articles through the sleeve to remove the partially sealed sealable material from the sleeve; and sealing the partially sealed sealable material at the top so as to form the sealed bundle.

Method of producing a sealed bundle of consumer articles

A container includes a lower box portion, an upper lid portion, and a sliding portion. The lower box portion includes a box bottom wall, a box front wall and a box back wall. The upper lid portion is hinged to the box back wall. The sliding device at least partially covers the lower box portion. The container is opened by moving the sliding device in one direction and closed by moving the sliding device in a second, opposite direction along the lower box portion. The box back wall includes a first stopper flap to limit movement of the sliding device in the first direction, and a second stopper flap to limit movement of the sliding device in the second direction. The first and second stopper flaps are formed by a common cut or incision. Two blanks may be used for the box and sliding device.

A container includes an outer shell and an inner slide. The outer shell comprises an outer shell front wall, an outer shell rear wall, left and right outer shell side walls and an outer shell stopper flap, and wherein the outer shell at least partially embraces an inner slide. The inner slide comprises a box portion wherein the box portion comprises a box bottom wall, a box front wall and a box rear wall and an inner slide stopper flap. The inner slide further comprises a lid portion wherein the lid portion comprises a lid top wall, and wherein the lid portion is hinged to the box portion at the box rear wall. The outer shell stopper flap and the inner slide stopper flap interact with each other and limit the movement between the outer shell and the inner slide when opening the container, the box front wall comprising the inner slide stopper flap and the outer shell front wall comprising the outer shell stopper flap.
