A computer-implemented method and computer program for proving a short message service (SMS) message was sent and received. A method and systems for protecting the identification of a subscriber when a service provider transmits a subscriber request to a content provider in a distributed network environment, such as Internet. Upon reception, the content provider uses an authentication Web Service supplied by the service provider for certifying the user identifier. If the user identifier is certified, the content provider transmits the requested content to the service provider, which formats it before sending it to the user. Systems for protecting subscriber identification between service and content providers

Method for protecting subscriber identification between service and content providers

Data transmission system including a proxy connected to the Internet network and at least a content server to which a user can gain access by the intermediary of the proxy, the proxy being associated with authentication means adapted to perform form-based authentication of the user when receiving a user request for Internet resources therefrom and wherein the proxy transmits the user request to the content server which sends back a response to the proxy. The authentication means comprise a Single Sign-On (SSO) server adapted to obtain a login form from the content server when receiving the user request from the proxy, to fill the login form by using the credentials associated with the user and to send back the filled login form thereby, playing the role of the user regarding the content server, so that the content server can provide the requested information after authentication of the user.

Method and system for accessing internet resources through a proxy using the form-based authentication

Personalized notifications are delivered to end users. A service provider receives, a content description from a content provider. The content description defines keywords, values attached to each keyword and a localization of values attached to each keyword in a piece of content. Each time a subscription request for a notification service related to the received content description is received from an end user, keywords values and the delivery channels selected by the user are recorded. A notification rule associated with the end user based on the selected keyword values and the localization of the selected keyword values in the content is generated. Each time a piece of content related to the content description is received from the content provider, the received piece of content is adapted to comply with the generated rules. For each rule previously generated, the values contained in the adapted piece of content are checked against the values as defined in the rule for each localization.

Method and system for service providers to personalize event notifications to users

A method and system for determining the best data path in a communication network is presented. A Least Cost Routing path between end users in a multi-network environment, including both public and private networks, is determined based upon a longest prefix match. At network activation time, the numbers or prefixes of numbers of end users attached to the public network (304, 305) are stored in entry node data bases A and C of the private network (303). Assuming an end user terminal U1 calls a target end user U3, an entry node B first checks for a longest prefix match between the called number and numbers already stored into its memory. If this is the first time U3 is called via node B, no match will occur and node B will then broadcast a Query to all nodes in the private network (i.e. Nodes A and C). Only those nodes providing possible access to U3 answer this Query. Node B then determines the longest prefix match with the called number amongst the various query answers, and sets the data path via that node having the longest prefix match.
