A calibration device is coupled to a balanced circuit device including first and second outputs provided with first and second load impedances. The calibration device includes an adjusting circuit to adjust the first and second load impedances into a load imbalance for linearization. A coupling circuit is inserted between the adjusting circuit and the first and second outputs to selectively couple the adjusting circuit to one of the first and second outputs, so that the adjusting circuit is coupled in parallel either to the first load impedance or to the second load impedance.

Balanced mixer with calibration of load impedances

A calibration device (CC) is coupled to a balanced circuit device (MC) comprising first and second outputs respectively provided with first (Z) and second (Z) load impedance means. This calibration device (CC) comprises adjusting means (ADM) arranged to adjust said first (Z) and second (Z) load impedance means into a load imbalance for linearization purposes, and a coupling means (CM) inserted between the load impedance adjusting means (ADM) and the first and second outputs and arranged to selectively couple the load impedance adjusting means (ADM) to only a chosen one of the first and second outputs, so that the load impedance adjusting means (ADM) is connected in parallel either to the first load impedance means (Z) or to the second load impedance means (Z).

The invention relates to a switching device comprising a plurality of inputs and outputs which are interconnected by an interconnection point matrix for transmitting electric signals supplied from the inputs to the outputs via transmission lines in accordance with a predefined switching plan. Each transmission line comprises a signal path for conveying the electric signals and a voltage reference path. The interconnection points are arranged in the matrix in such a way that two distinct transmission lines comprise one common voltage reference path. Application: packet switching in optical transmissions.

The invention relates to a switching device comprising a plurality of inputs and outputs which are interconnected by a matrix of interconnection points for transmitting electric signals supplied from the inputs to the outputs via transmission lines in accordance with a predefined switching plan. The device comprises a control member for controlling the operation of the matrix with control signals and local decoding for locally decoding the control signals and for deducing the switching state of the interconnection points. Application: packet switching in optical transmissions.

The invention relates to an integrated circuit provided with a set of contacts for connecting the integrated circuit to a differential transmission line. The set of contacts comprises at least one first pair of contacts intended to receive a first power supply voltage, a second pair of contacts intended to receive a second power supply voltage and a third pair of contacts, referred to as signal contacts, intended to be connected to the transmission lines. Each power supply contact may indifferently receive ground or one of the high or low power supply voltages, realizing two possible power supply configurations, positive or negative. The signal contacts are surrounded by the power supply contacts so as to realize a specific shielding which is independent of the positive or negative power supply configuration.
