Embodiments provide for interactive routing transistor devices of an integrated circuit (IC) design using an interactive routing tool. An example method includes receiving an integrated circuit (IC) design comprising a plurality of transistor devices. The example method further includes receiving a design rule check (DRC) rules set. The example method further includes, responsive to identifying, based at least in part on the DRC rules set, that a first connection input associated with a transistor device of the plurality of transistor devices creates a design rule violation, determining whether a force mode input has been received. The example method further includes, responsive to determining that the force mode input has been received, enabling routing of the first connection input.

Superseding design rule check (DRC) rules in a DRC-correct interactive router

A method, a system, and non-transitory computer readable medium for level package routing are provided. The method includes performing triangulation on a set of nets to generate a routing resource graph. The objects of the set of nets are represented by a respective center point during triangulation. The method also includes generating a route between the objects of the set of nets based on at least a total cost. The total cost is determined based on at least the routing resource graph. The method also includes altering the route based on a determination that a constraint rule is unmet and outputting routing information comprising the route for the set of nets.

Methods and systems to perform automated Integrated Fan-Out wafer level package routing

Seamless transitions between routing modes are provided via providing a cursor in association with a design layout; in response to receiving a follow-the-cursor (FTC) command at a first position in the design layout, create a first trace in the design layout where the cursor is displayed; in response to receiving a start command for point-to-point routing at a second position in the design layout: complete the first trace at the second position; and provide an indicator at the second position; in response to receiving an end command for point-to-point routing at a third position in the design layout: create a second trace in the design layout where the cursor is displayed; and create a third trace in the design layout, wherein the third trace is routed from the first trace to the second trace.

Seamless transition between routing modes

A customizable routing system allows designers to create custom connection layouts that can be stored, turned into templates, reused, and further customized. The system describes designer-input custom connection layouts in terms of 'structural directives' that specify its patterns and properties instead of using precise dimensions. Structural directives may describe particular connection patterns between structural components (e.g., backbone or fishbone), the placement, width, direction or layer of specific structural components, and properties of structural components relative to other components. These structural directives are implemented generally during routing, such as through design constraints, which allows the router to locally optimize the design (e.g., for cost or wire length) while considering the structural intentions of the designer. The system can also learn and replicate customization patterns based on existing layout templates by comparing connectivity information to that of existing layout templates and applying applicable structural directives.

Creating and reusing customizable structured interconnects

Techniques and systems for determining a route from a start point to a target point in an integrated circuit (IC) design using topology-driven line probing are described. Some embodiments can create a data structure to store a set of nodes, wherein each node is located on a horizontal probe or a vertical probe, and wherein each node has a cost. The embodiments can then perform a set of operations in an iterative loop, the set of operations comprising: selecting a lowest cost node from the set of nodes; terminating the iterative loop if the lowest cost node is located at the target point; extending a probe from the lowest cost node if the lowest cost node is not located at the target point; creating at least one new node on the probe or on an ancestor of the probe; and adding the new node to the set of nodes.

Real-time interactive routing using topology-driven line probing

Embodiments relate to an interactive routing of connections in a circuit where connections associated with an initial pin of a circuit element (e.g., a row of FinFETs) are replicated in association with at least one other pin of the circuit element or a different circuit element in the circuit. The replication of connections can be performed intelligently by taking into account mapping of pins as well as design rules or other restrictions imposed on the circuit. The connections can be in form of trunks and branches, and are displayed as user inputs are received. A digital representation of the circuit with the connections as displayed is also generated. At least some of the connections in the circuit are replicated without individual user inputs based on user inputs associated with a connection to the initial pin.
