A navigation system for a motor vehicle includes: an off-board navigation system spatially separated from the motor vehicle, for calculating a suggested route for the motor vehicle; a wireless communication connection between the off-board navigation system and the motor vehicle, for transmitting the suggested route to the motor vehicle; and a man-machine interface arranged in the motor vehicle, for outputting the suggested route to an operator of the motor vehicle.

An input device, especially for a vehicle, comprises a display to display an operating element, a touchscreen arranged above the display for recognition of the position of touching of an operating surface of the touchscreen, a force sensor connected to the touchscreen for measurement of the force exerted on the operating surface of the touchscreen, and a control to generate a warning during touching of the operating surface of the touchscreen in the region of display of the operating element or during pressing on the operating surface of the touchscreen in the region of display of the operating element, and to generate a control command assigned to the operating element, if, after generation of the warning, a force that exceeds a force limit value is exerted on the operating surface.

Input device

An input device, especially an input device for a vehicle, includes a display for optical display of information, a touchscreen arranged above the display for input of commands by touching an operating surface of the touchscreen and a control for optical display of additional or other information on the display during at least a second simultaneously occurring touching of the operating surface.

An input device, especially for a vehicle, comprises a touchscreen to enter commands by touching an operating surface of the touchscreen or by pressing on the operating surface, an actuator to move the touchscreen in at least one direction, and a control module to control the actuator as a function of the speed of a touching movement over the operating surface.

A button configuration includes a shape-changing button that has a central region and a peripheral region. The peripheral region encircles the central region and defines a surface plane. The shape-changing button has an active state and an inactive state. The central region of the button protrudes from the surface plane and provides a push button function when the button is in the active state. The central region of the button extends substantially in the surface plane and provides no push button function when the button is in the inactive state. A control panel having shape-changing buttons is also provided.

A servosystem, in particular a servosystem for a motor vehicle, includes a display showing a list of clickable menu items, a rotary knob with a rotary element to operate the rotary knob, with a number of mechanical detents to alternately increase the rotary momentum necessary for rotating the rotary element, with a brake to brake the rotary element and with a rotation sensor to measure the rotation of the rotary element with a resolution that is the least four times, in particular at least six times, and with particular preference at least eight times the number of mechanical detents per rotation of the rotary element, and a control for converting the rotation of the rotary element into a scrolling motion through a list and for activating the brake when the last clickable menu item of the list is reached or the first clickable menu items of the list is reached.

Servosystem

A seat control unit for adjusting a vehicle seat includes a touch sensor having a touch-sensitive fabric. The touch-sensitive fabric is disposed on a support layer which may be formed by a vehicle interior component such as the vehicle seat, an interior door panel or an armrest. The touch sensor generates signals in response to a force exerted on the touch-sensitive fabric. A control circuit is connected the touch sensor and receives the signals generated by the touch sensor. The control circuit determines a position of the force exerted on the touch-sensitive fabric and generates control signals for controlling the vehicle seat in dependence on the position of the force exerted on the touch-sensitive fabric.
