A method for evaluating signals of a sensor unit including at least two sensors. The method includes reading in a first sensor value of a first of the sensors and a second sensor value of a second sensor, the first and second sensor value each representing one parameter of a substance to be measured by the sensors or a linking of the parameters. A threshold value range is read in, which maps a range of combinations of at least the first and second sensor values, which represents the presence or a value of the substance to be measured in surroundings of the first and second sensors. A combination of the read-in first and second sensor values is recognized as being outside the threshold value range. The threshold value range is changed into a changed threshold value range so that the combination is situated within the changed threshold value range.

Method and device for evaluating signals of a sensor unit including at least two sensors

A method for analyzing a gas mixture, in which a layer which is configured for the adsorption and/or absorption of components of the gas mixture is exposed to the gas mixture. The method includes cooling the layer from a first to a second temperature and heating the layer from the second to a third temperature. While the layer has the first, second, and third temperature, at least one electrical resistance value of the layer is measured. A method is described in which a first and second layer are exposed to the gas mixture. The first layer is cooled from a first to a second temperature and the second layer is cooled from a third to a fourth temperature. While the first layer has the first and second temperature and the second layer has the third and fourth temperature, at least one electrical resistance value of the respective layer is measured.

A method for determining a nicotine content in a gas mixture. The method includes exposing a metal oxide-based sensor to the gas mixture, applying a temperature profile over time to the metal oxide so that the temperature of the metal oxide, proceeding from a predetermined first temperature level, is brought to a predetermined second temperature level under controlled first transition conditions, and the temperature is brought from the second temperature level to a third predetermined temperature level under controlled second transition conditions, ascertaining a transient specific electrical resistance of the metal oxide at at least one certain point in time during the application with the temperature profile, and determining the nicotine content based on the ascertained resistance. A processing unit and a computer program product for carrying out the method are also described.

A method for analyzing a gas, where a sensitive metal oxide-containing layer is exposed to the gas, includes: reducing the temperature of the sensitive layer from a first temperature to a second temperature, the temperature of the sensitive layer being maintained essentially at the second temperature for a predetermined time period; increasing the temperature of the sensitive layer to a third temperature; measuring at least one electrical resistance value of the sensitive layer while the sensitive layer exhibits essentially the third temperature; and analyzing components of the gas based on the measured at least one electrical resistance value.

A device, a method, and a use thereof for detecting a concentration of a gas or of a gas component. The device as a gas sensor includes at least one sensor element including a gas-sensitive layer and a heating element for heating the gas-sensitive layer. The heating element is able to heat the sensitive layer to a desired temperature prior to the detection and/or is able to maintain it at a desired temperature during the detection. The heating element allows the gas-sensitive layer to be outgassed if needed, so as to allow absorption again. To heat the heating element, there is a first contacting to which a first voltage may be applied. Moreover, subsequent to the heating step, a second voltage may be applied to the sensor element or to the gas-sensitive layer for measured value detection with the aid of a second contacting. The two contactings at least partially have a shared actuation by being electrically connected to each other, the first contacting including a diode which essentially blocks current from flowing through the heating element when the second voltage, in particular the polarity of the second voltage, is applied.

A microelectrochemical sensor includes a carrier material composed of a semiconductor substrate, and includes a chemosensitive sensor element. The chemosensitive sensor element is positioned in a first partial region of the carrier material. A heating element is positioned in a region of the chemosensitive sensor element and is configured to regulate a temperature of the chemosensitive sensor element. A microelectronic unit is positioned in a second partial region of the carrier material, and is connected to the chemosensitive sensor element and the heating element via conductor tracks integrated into the carrier material. The microelectronic unit is configured to operate the heating element and the sensor element.

The web is arranged on a first side of the diaphragm between a first partial surface and a second partial surface, and is designed to adjust a temperature of the diaphragm to an operating temperature using electrical energy. The first electrode has a first partial electrode and a second partial electrode, is permeable to fluid, and is arranged on the first side of the diaphragm. The web prevents electrical contact between the first electrode and the diaphragm. The second electrode has a third partial electrode and a fourth partial electrode, is also permeable to fluid, and is arranged on a second side of the diaphragm.
