A method for identifying blooming candidates in a Lidar measurement may include providing a distance-based histogram of points of a point cloud generated in the Lidar measurement. In the histogram, clusters of points having the same distance to a Lidar sensor carrying out the Lidar measurement are identified and intensities of the points of a cluster are evaluated. If the cluster contains points, the intensities of which exceed in each case a predefined limit value, those points of the cluster, the intensities of which do not exceed in each case the predefined limit value and in particular fall below the predefined limit value by more than a predefined threshold value, are classified as blooming candidates.

Method and device for identifying blooming candidates in a Lidar measurement

A method and apparatus for detecting surroundings around a vehicle may include the step of periodically scanning the surroundings in a first detection region by a laser scanner. The method may also include detecting the surroundings in a second detection region by an optical camera. The first detection region and the second detection region may at least overlap each other. An optical sensor in the camera may be exposed at least twice within one period of the laser scanner. A first exposure time for a first exposure of the at least two exposures of the optical sensor may be chosen and synchronized with the laser scanner so that the first exposure occurs within a first time window, in which the laser scanner scans the first detection region.

A method for the optimized use of a parking area. Vehicles which are to be parked on the parking area are each assigned a parking space, the vehicles navigating to the respective assigned parking space, in particular autonomously. Furthermore, vehicles may carry out a change of the parking space in order to enable an improved use of the available parking area or a faster availability of the vehicle, whereby overall an optimized use of the parking area is achieved. The available range of a vehicle is in particular described by a residual fuel amount or a charge state of the vehicle.

Valet parking method

A method for operating a vehicle equipped with a surroundings sensor system is provided. In the method, at least one preceding and/or oncoming two-wheeler is detected at least as a function of data of the surroundings sensor system. In addition, an angle of inclination of the two-wheeler is ascertained at least as a function of data of the surroundings sensor system and a movement path of the two-wheeler is predicted based on the ascertained angle of inclination. The operation of the vehicle takes place in this case based on the predicted movement path.

The auxiliary sensor has a detection range which extends angularly offset to the detection range of the main sensor in the rear area of the vehicle. The comparison unit ascertains whether the detected object is a following vehicle on the basis of predefined correlations between the detection signals of the main sensor and the auxiliary sensor, and the detection unit blocks the output unit from outputting a warning signal when a following vehicle is recognized.
