A system for operating a boat equipped with an electric drive includes a component controller. The component controller includes a component interface for connecting a system component of the electric drive, and a communication interface for connecting the component controller to a system bus of the drive control.

A method for charging an auxiliary voltage source that provides power for at least one additional component, the additional component being in addition to an electric drive that is powered by a main voltage, is described. The method includes electrically connecting a protection and/or control circuit to the main voltage source via a DC-to-DC converter configured for power supply, and to the auxiliary voltage source via a reverse blocking valve. The method further includes electrically connecting the main voltage source to the auxiliary voltage source via a charging device. The method still further includes charging the auxiliary voltage source via the main voltage source.

Electric drive for a vehicle

A boat has a battery located within an interior of a battery-housing, which includes a waste gas outlet that has a gas-permeable seal and a pressure relief valve. The battery housing is gastight and watertight with the exception of the waste gas outlet. The gas-permeable seal is water-impermeable and comprises a semi-permeable diaphragm that allows the passage of water vapor out from the interior of the battery housing, but prevents the passage of water vapor into the interior of the battery housing.

A boat having an electric motor coupled with an electrical store is disclosed. The electrical store includes a storage element, and positive and negative poles in current-conducting connection with the storage element. An isolating circuit element is operatively connected to a user activatable emergency stop switch. The isolating circuit element is configured to, upon activation of the emergency stop switch, isolate the current-conducting connection between the storage element and at least one of the poles.

A boat is disclosed. The boat includes an electrical storage having a storage element electrically connected to a positive and a negative pole. The boat also includes a water sensor configured to determine whether one of the poles is in contact with water, and a disconnection device operatively connected to the water sensor and configured to interrupt the electrical connection between at least one of the poles and the storage element when the water sensor determines that one of the poles is in contact with water.

A method for charging an auxiliary voltage source of a boat having an electric drive that is powered by a main voltage source of the boat, the auxiliary voltage source providing power for at least one additional component, is described. A protection and/or control circuit is electrically connected to the main voltage source via a DC-to-DC converter configured for power supply, and to the auxiliary voltage source via a switch or a reverse blocking valve. The auxiliary voltage source is charged via the main voltage source.

Boat with electric drive and emergency off switch

The invention relates to a boat with an electric drive that comprises electric components, especially an electric motor and an electric storage unit. The components are interconnected via an electric grid. At least one of the components is connected to the grid by means of a first connection means, the first connection means comprising first connection means main contacts for connecting the at least one component to the grid, and a second connection means being provided for connecting the electric storage unit to or disconnecting it from the grid. According to the invention, the first connection means comprises at least one pair of auxiliary contacts for connecting the at least one component to a monitoring line and said monitoring line is operatively connected to the second connection means.
